Title When you receive the Holy Spirit

When you receive the Holy Spirit (John 16:7-15)
John Stott said, 'Before Christ sent the church into the world, he sent the Holy Spirit. We must work in the same order.' I mean.
There are religious people who personally come to church without the sense of the Holy Spirit, and there are also people who have too mysterious sensibility to cause problems in the church. Currently, in Korea, there are many problems due to the nature of the church and the members of the church with these two characteristics. We are living in an era where church activities and affairs are more often driven by so-called human plans, and on the other hand, heretics are tempting them with mysticistic, exoticism. .
It was said that the Holy Spirit would come when Jesus ascended to heaven. According to the Bible, the Holy Spirit has already worked with people, but after He fully came on the Day of Pentecost, the work of the Christian Church began properly. It has spread together. We want to establish our identity as those who have received the biblical Holy Spirit and become people of the Holy Spirit.
1. You will believe in Jesus
8 “When he comes, he will convict the world of sin and righteousness and judgment.
9 Concerning sin, because they do not believe in me.” The coming of the Holy Spirit and how to work miracles to benefit people is a later thing. The fundamental and ultimate goal of the coming of the Holy Spirit is to make sinners believe in Jesus. How do you believe in Jesus? To summarize in a few words:
1) Even if you believe in Jesus, who believes in life and death, you must believe in His death on the cross and resurrection. Some people do not believe in the resurrection (Bultmann, Dool Kim Yong-ok). Such people see Jesus as a wise man or a teacher of life. However, Jesus is the Messiah who promised eternal life through the resurrection. The Messiah and the saints have different concepts.
Romans 10:9 “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
2) I believe in the one and only Savior.
Jesus is the savior, and Buddhism cannot say that there is salvation. It is the conscience of those who properly believe in Jesus to confess that the only Savior is Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
3) Those who believe in the Second Coming of Jesus
Jesus will come again. If you do not believe in the Second Coming, you do not believe in judgment. When we confess our faith in the Apostles' Creed, we confess the Lord's return. John 14:3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
Acts 1:11 "He said, "Men of Galilee, why are you standing and looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way you saw him go into heaven." We should be believers in Jesus like this. When you confess that you believe in , you said that this knowledge came from heaven.
Matthew 16:16-17 "Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17 Jesus answered and said to them, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. You are my father.”
1 Corinthians 12:3 “Therefore I make it known to you that those who speak by the Spirit of God
does not say that Jesus is accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.”
Therefore, those who believe in Jesus like this already have the Holy Spirit come and be with them. I hope you believe it. Just as we believe that a baby is loved and cared for by its parents, we must believe that God is with us.
Matthew 28:20 “Teach them to observe all that I have commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”
It is only the work of the Holy Spirit that changes your life by believing in Jesus. No matter how much a person educates, the existence of a sinful human does not change. There is no real hope. Even if you study 6 years in elementary school, 6 years in middle school, 12 years in high school, and 16 years in college, you are not good enough. However, there is an amazing work of transforming you into a completely new being when you are under the influence of the Holy Spirit and believe in Jesus.
1 Samuel 10:6 “The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you greatly, and you will prophesy with them, and you will be changed into a new person.”
Zechariah 4:6 "And he spoke to me, saying, These are the words of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saith the LORD of hosts, It is not by might, not by mighty power, but by my god."
2. I try to live the truth
10“Of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more.”
The meaning of these words is that when Jesus ascended into heaven, it means righteousness. The righteousness of God is the true will of God, and the true will of God is the complete proof of its truthfulness through the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. The lawyers at the time Jesus preached and the Pharisees persecuted and denigrated Jesus as unrighteous.
The miracle of Jesus' resurrection and ascension to heaven were absolutely unacceptable for hypothetical religious people who judge people by laws that they can't even follow, and they thought it was a statement that ignored the tradition of Israel. So you testified of your innocence and the justification of the prophecy.
It means that when the Holy Spirit comes to us, we will eventually live in the truth and reveal God's righteousness. It is the truth that judges and proves what is right and wrong in the world. It means that God's will is a righteous word that accurately saves people and judges the world through the ages.
These days, there are many people who say they are filled with the Holy Spirit and have an attitude that is not reverent and unbiblical. Heretics, as if they are full of the Spirit, flutter, speak in tongues, and make a fuss, but they cause a crowd in society by acting outside the truth. Jesus was born with the Holy Spirit He said (Matthew 1:20), received the Holy Spirit like a dove (Luke 3:22), was led by the Spirit to be tested (Matthew 4:1), and was with the Holy Spirit and told them to receive the Holy Spirit (John 20:22).
So what the Lord said was the Spirit. John 6:63 “It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.”
This Lord, who came in the flesh (John 1:14), prayed that the will of the Father would be done and lived according to the will of the Father. John 8:29 “He who sent me is with me; I am always pleased with him. He did not leave me alone because I did a work.”
Text 13 “But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth, and he will not speak on his own, but will speak what he hears, and will make known to you things to come.” We are human beings who have religious psychology and can perform miracles in our own way, and we are human beings who can get involved in Satan's work. Therefore, we must be careful to preach and work in the Bible.
In Matthew 7:21 and below, it is a wonderful thing that the prophets who cast out demons and performed many miracles are rejected on the day of judgment. Because they ignore the will of the Lord and focus only on showing their power, they become lawless practitioners and are rejected. .
Therefore, I believe that when the Holy Spirit comes, we must understand the will of the Lord to lead us into the truth and become those who long for the Word. If you become a Christian, you must be close to the Bible and love to read, claim, recite, observe, and experience.
3. The Gospel will be preached
When the Holy Spirit comes to us, we will be saved and overflow with joy and emotion that cannot be tolerated unless we preach the gospel of the grace of redemption. Believing in Jesus is not just believing in Jesus alone. The salvation we have received is so great and precious that we have a strong will to deliver it to people. It's usually not a happy thing, and it's not the usual news. Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in Meekyea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Wesley said, 'When you receive the Holy Spirit, even a donkey can prophesy.' This means that if you have received the Holy Spirit, you will be able to preach the gospel. Silver refers to the devil (Ephesians 2:1) who has taken the power of the air over the world, as John 12:31 says, “Now the judgment of this world has come; Now that Jesus has come, the devil is judged.
It is not that we continue to fight with Jesus, but the devil has been completely defeated in the name of Jesus. So now you can oppose the devil in Jesus name. James 4:7 “Therefore submit yourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Believers who have received the Holy Spirit have the power to sense, face, and ignore the powers of the world and the tricks of the devil. In the Holy Spirit, the saints have the courage to take the devil's deeds lightly. Secularism's clever ploys to destroy the truth, and temptations to take away faith as money and culture, are shot and cursed through the eyes of the Holy Spirit.
They try to fight against secularism and humanism. Those who have received the Holy Spirit oppose the devil's schemes of temptation at any age. Never break the spirit of reform. We preach the word of the gospel to save the world's rulers, the devil, who survived. We resist the devil with the sword of truth and testify of the gospel of salvation to those who are in death.
It defends the subjective opinions of those who think that worldly things are good, and proves that the devil is not responsible.
Those who have received the Holy Spirit rebuke the world. The word rebuke (ejlevgcw) means to persuade by arguing with one who pleads in court. When you receive the Holy Spirit, you are to risk your whole life to testify to Jesus. It is not forced, but the center of the saint's life is changed that way. Otherwise, the person is not yet led by the Holy Spirit.
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord has come upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, and has sent me to preach liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, and to set the oppressed free.”
Like Simon who tried to live by the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:18), there are people who pray falsely to use the Holy Spirit as a tool for themselves because of selfishness. You must remember. The purpose of the Holy Spirit is yes. The Holy Spirit wants to testify of Jesus. Oswald Chambers said, 'The purpose of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is not to be a miracle-generating believer, but to be a witness of Jesus.'
Ephesians 5:18 “Do not get drunk with wine, for this is debauchery, but be filled with the Holy Spirit.” The original meaning of the phrase we know well is Ephesians 5:18, which means to keep being filled with the Holy Spirit. Plhrou'sqe is the present passive voice in imperative. I have been commanded to continue being filled with the Holy Spirit.
The saints must be filled with the Holy Spirit, but today the saints are filled with only knowledge. The many knowledgeable and humanistic views lack strong evidence of the many Spirits.
We must become believers who are filled with the Holy Spirit and live according to the work of the Holy Spirit who judges the devil, the worldly god, about the sin of distrusting the Lord, about the resurrection Jesus who has overcome the world and about the righteousness of God. Therefore, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will be filled with the Holy Spirit every day and become faithful soldiers who fight proudly against the world as messengers of the gospel.
