6. Evaluation and Lessons Learned
① Luke, the ambassador, healed Paul’s weak body with the magic talents the Lord gave him, and accompanied him to the end so that he could successfully fulfill his mission of preaching the gospel (Acts 17:1, 2; Gal 4:3; 2 Tim 4). :11). Even today, in the evangelism ministry, like Luke, there is an urgent need for someone who can take on an appropriate role as a co-worker. Are we fulfilling our role as 'helpers' now?
② Although Luke was a well-educated physician and an outstanding writer who wrote two epistles, he never revealed himself and was faithful to his mission by silently assisting Paul (Luke 1:1-4; Acts 1:1, 2; Col. 4:14). Luke's humble attitude sets a good example for those who want to be praised for revealing their small achievements today.
③ Luke’s faithful actions (Phil 1:24; Col 4:14; 2 Timothy 4:11), who walked with Paul to the end in any place and under any circumstance, are what we do today in our service to God and between the saints. Above all, it teaches us to be faithful to the end and show faithfulness.
④ Luke sought the glory of the Lord with all his talents and strength, including his medical skills, outstanding literary talent, meticulous research, and effort. Today, we believers too, following Luke's example, should give our talents, time, and health to the Lord and use them only for the glory of the Lord (Romans 12:1).
