Title Who is Christ / Isaiah 9:6
Contents
The book of Isaiah is often called the Gospel of Isaiah. Because Christ is the subject of this book. This book was written 700 years before Jesus' birth. This is a very important book that prophesies about the work of the Lord in that era.
The Bible is a book written under the inspiration of God. All the evidence recorded in this book is significant. Among them, the greatest evidence is the prophecy and its fulfillment.
There are hundreds of prophecies in the Old Testament. You can fill in the countless number of prophecies related to the New Testament. And you can see the fulfillment of those prophecies. This statement is very connotative. This would not have been possible if someone had not guided the authors of these books.
All prophecies in the Bible are focused on Christ Jesus. In fact, there are more than 300 prophecies about Christ in the Old Testament. This is what mathematicians say.
Even if there are only 50 prophecies about the Lord, the probability of those prophecies being fulfilled is less than 1 in 1.125 million. There are over 300 prophecies in the Bible. And all those prophecies were fulfilled.
Among them, the text of the text best describes Christ. “For to us a child is born, and a son is given to us, and the government is upon his shoulders, and he will call his name Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, King of the Peace.”
This verse I just read tells four amazing facts about Christ our Lord.
first. The Lord is the Wonderful Counselor.
The first name to be called of the Lord is Counselor the Wonderful. This means counselor. The Lord says there is no limit to wisdom. The Lord Himself created all things in heaven and on earth. From eternity to eternity, he is in control of all these things. So the Lord knows everything about everything.
If we would like to receive advice in a particular field, we hire a counselor who is well versed in that field. If you want to know about the law, go to a lawyer. If it's about your health, go to the doctor. If it's about jewelry, go to a jeweler. If it's about architecture, you should be an architect.
Christ is the Wonderful Counselor. The Lord knows everything because He is an all-knowing God. He is truly a good counselor for us.
One day people were listening to the Lord. It was about the secrets of life. The Lord spoke of future events, of death, and of eternal life. People of that time were amazed by its wisdom. The astonishing scene is found in Matthew 5:14, "Where did this man's wisdom and such powers come from?"
That's right. Christ Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor. He knows every thought, every language, and every thing we do. The Lord knows your concerns right now. And he knows the future very well.
But the amazing thing is that if we believe in this Lord and come to Him, He will give us His wisdom. None of us do not need the wisdom of the Lord. Do you really need the wisdom of the Lord? The Lord is our true Counselor. fill the Lord Trust in the Lord and have the wisdom of the Lord.
Our Counselor The Lord calls it this way in James 1:5. “If any of you lack wisdom, ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Think about it. The Lord wants to put His leadership, direction, and guidance right into my life. Leave all your problems to the Lord. Only the Lord can solve all our problems.
second. The Lord is Almighty God.
Almighty God, these words mean that there is no limit to your power. A baby lying in a manger in Bethlehem is no different from a baby girl. But the baby is Almighty God. The life of Almighty God did not begin in the stables of Bethlehem. He only changed his address to the world for 33 years.
God has been from the beginning. The baby Jesus who came in the flesh is that same God. The Gospel of John records this in his preface, verses 1:1 and 2.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and he was with God in the beginning.”
Our Christ is Almighty God. Think of the power of the word of the Lord. When the Lord rebuked the disease, the body was healed. When he commanded the demon to drive it out, he immediately went away. He even gave orders to the dead to bring them back to life.
Our Lord is Almighty God. He has no limits in his abilities. Would you not be completely dependent on this Almighty God? Why don't you entrust all the problems of your life to the Lord and enjoy a happy life?
third. The Lord is the everlasting Father.
Eternal Father means that there is no limit to the love of the Lord. The original meaning of father is protector. According to Job 19:16, Job was the father of the poor. In other words, he was a guardian.
The psalmist sings this in 103:8 and 13: "The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in His presence...
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.”
Our Lord sympathizes with us as a father sympathizes with his child. There is absolutely no limit to the love of the Lord.
Here's the story.
A spirit was running down the alley, shaking an old cage. Clothes are old and run over. He was still a young boy, about 10 years old. Inside the cage the boy was holding, several small birds were trembling with fear.
A gentleman passing by just asked the boy. Where did you catch it, the boy said triumphantly that he had caught it. The birds asked again what they were going to do. The boy will play with it. As a toy. Hearing the boy's answer, the gentleman said: Sooner or later you will get tired of the game, so what are you going to do with the birds? I have a cat at home, and they like birds. I'll give you cat food later.
The child's words were naive and frightening. Hearing these sad words, the gentleman said that he would not sell the bird to me, baby, or how much would he sell it for? The boy blinks his eyes curiously, and he's really trying to buy you. It's just a little bird. I can't sing and I can't see.
How much are you going to sell it for anyway? The boy thought for a while. I glanced at the gentleman with a squinting glance, and after diligently calculating inwardly as I stood still, I finally said it. It's two thousand won.
To the bewildered boy, the gentleman took out two stiff papers from his pocket. The boy who received the money quickly ran out of the alleyway. The gentleman held the cage and watched it until the boy disappeared, and when the boy disappeared, the door of the cage was wide open.
Do you know what a negotiation between our Lord and Satan the devil is like? Satan was showing off how he had seized the trap of temptation in the Garden of Eden and captured people all over the world. The following story is a story in which we can assume a sale negotiation between our Lord and Satan.
Satan, what are you going to do with all these people? I'm going to play with it. Play, marry, fight, divorce, kill each other, etc. I will teach people how to bomb each other. I will do all kinds of pranks.
You won't be fooling around forever. When you get tired of pranks, what do you plan to do then? Damn these things are of no use to anyone. I will curse you. So I will kill them all.
How much will you sell them to me? It's useless. If I sell them to you, they will spit on you and hate you. Beating you, nailing you, etc. are useless for nothing.
How much are you going to sell it for anyway? All your tears, all your body and all your blood, that's the price I deserve.
So the Lord paid the price and took a new chapter. You opened that door. The Lord has no limits in his love. The Lord is our everlasting Father.
fourth. The Lord is the Father of Peace.
Prince of Peace, it is a pleasure to hear. blessed words. This means that there is no limit to salvation. Angels praised God when He was born into the world as a baby Jesus in a human body. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased” (Luke 2:14).
The Apostle Paul also said in Romans 5:1. “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” who had no hope and had no God, but now you, who were formerly afar off, have been drawn near by the blood of Christ in Christ Jesus. He is our peace. He has made the two one, breaking down the middle wall of enmity, He abolished the law in his own body, that he might reconcile the two by creating a new man in himself, and that they might be reconciled to God in one body through the cross.”
The Lord is indeed our peace. You give true peace to all who hold on to you. He not only transforms all things into peace, but also brings true inner peace.
The peace that the Lord has given us is an unchanging peace no matter what the circumstances around us. If you say you enjoy the peace of the Lord, but you are driven by circumstances and controlled by circumstances, that is not the peace that the Lord has given you.
The Lord is the Wonderful Counselor. There is no limit in wisdom. Almighty God. He has no limits in his abilities. He is the everlasting Father. There are no limits in love. And He is the Father of Peace. There is no limit to salvation.
In any case, there is one thing we can be sure of. It is the fact that we all need this wonderful Savior. I need it too. You all need him.
If there is someone who has not brought Him into our lives at this time, please come to Him right now. Believe and confess that Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God. And I want you to be baptized for the remission of sins.
According to the promise in Acts 2:37 and 38, when we repent and are each baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven. And you will receive the Holy Spirit as a gift. This is salvation. I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will become saints who will be saved by obeying the Bible.
