Urgent Prayer: The president of South Korea is trying to uncover fraudulent elections. Members of the opposition National Assembly, who were elected in a fraudulent election, want to impeach the president. Pray that the president of South Korea will not be impeached. The forces behind the fraudulent election are from the Chinese Communist Party, North Korea, and the Communist Party in South Korea. Pray that those responsible for the election fraud will be found and punished. Pray that there will be no bloodshed in South Korea. Pray that Satan and the evil spirits controlling them will be bound.

Matthew 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

John the Baptist was preaching in the wilderness of Judaea in the days of Jesus' ministry.

Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

John the Baptist calls for repentance, as the kingdom of heaven is approaching.

Matthew 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

John the Baptist was fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah to prepare the way for the Lord.

Matthew 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

John the Baptist wore a garment of camel's hair and a leather belt, and ate locusts and wild honey.

Matthew 3:5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

People from Jerusalem, Judea, and the Jordan region came out to John the Baptist.

Matthew 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

John the Baptist baptized people in the Jordan River, and they confessed their sins.

Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

John the Baptist harshly warned the Pharisees and Sadducees to repent and flee from the coming wrath of God.

Matthew 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

Repentance requires a change in behavior, demonstrated by the production of good works.

Matthew 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

God can use even the most unlikely sources to bring about His will.

Matthew 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Everyone who does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

John the Baptist proclaims that he baptizes with water, but Jesus will baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Matthew 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Jesus will separate the faithful from the unfaithful and reward the faithful with eternal life while punishing the unfaithful with unquenchable fire.

Matthew 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

Jesus traveled from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist.

Matthew 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

John the Baptist refused to baptize Jesus, asking instead for Jesus to baptize him.

Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Jesus told John the Baptist to baptize him, so that all righteousness could be fulfilled. John accepted this and baptized him.

Matthew 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Jesus was baptized and the heavens opened, revealing the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on him.

Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

God proclaims Jesus as His beloved Son, in whom He is pleased.
