Urgent Prayer: The president of South Korea is trying to uncover fraudulent elections. Members of the opposition National Assembly, who were elected in a fraudulent election, want to impeach the president. Pray that the president of South Korea will not be impeached. The forces behind the fraudulent election are from the Chinese Communist Party, North Korea, and the Communist Party in South Korea. Pray that those responsible for the election fraud will be found and punished. Pray that there will be no bloodshed in South Korea. Pray that Satan and the evil spirits controlling them will be bound.

Matthew 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

Jesus went up a mountain and was met by his disciples, who gathered around him.

Matthew 5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

Jesus opened his mouth and began to teach the people.

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The poor in spirit are blessed, for they will receive the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Those who mourn will be comforted.

Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

The meek will be rewarded with the inheritance of the earth.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Those who desire righteousness will be satisfied.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Those who show mercy will be shown mercy in return.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Those with pure hearts will be granted the privilege of seeing God.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Peacemakers are blessed and will be called the children of God.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Those who are persecuted for righteousness will be rewarded with the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Christ encourages his followers to remain faithful in the face of persecution, even when people falsely accuse them.

Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Believers should be joyful and grateful for the great reward they will receive in heaven, for in the same way that prophets before them were persecuted, they too will be persecuted.

Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Christ calls believers to be the salt of the earth, but warns that if salt loses its flavor, it is of no use and will be trodden underfoot.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Christians are called to be a visible witness of God's light to the world.

Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

A candle's purpose is to give light to everyone in the house, not to be hidden away.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Let your good works be a light to others so that they will glorify God.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Jesus came to fulfill the law and the prophets, not to destroy them.

Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

This passage explains that even the smallest details of the law will remain until all has been fulfilled.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Whoever keeps and teaches the least of the commandments will be highly esteemed in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Entry into the kingdom of heaven requires a higher righteousness than that of the scribes and Pharisees.

Matthew 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

Killers will be subject to judgment according to ancient law.

Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Jesus warns against an unjustified anger towards a brother, warning that it carries severe consequences.

Matthew 5:23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

Bringing offerings to the altar should not be done if one has wronged their brother.

Matthew 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

In Matthew 5:24, Jesus urges believers to seek reconciliation with their brothers before offering a gift at the altar.

Matthew 5:25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

Agreeing with an adversary quickly can help to prevent being taken to court and being thrown in prison.

Matthew 5:26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

Jesus warns that one must pay all of their debts, no matter how small.

Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

Jesus teaches against adultery, reminding people that it was prohibited by the Old Testament.

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

This verse warns against looking at a woman with the intention of lusting after her, as this is seen as a form of adultery.

Matthew 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

It is better to remove a part of yourself than to risk eternal damnation in hell.

Matthew 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

This verse warns against sin and its consequences, encouraging us to renounce any sinful behavior or habits in order to avoid eternal damnation.

Matthew 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

Jesus teaches that divorce is only permissible in cases of sexual immorality.

Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Divorce is forbidden, except in the case of fornication, as it leads to adultery.

Matthew 5:33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

Christ commands us to keep our promises and fulfill our pledges to the Lord.

Matthew 5:34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

Jesus commands us not to swear, even by heaven, which is God's throne.

Matthew 5:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

God is greater than the earth, which is His footstool, and Jerusalem, which is His great city.

Matthew 5:36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

Swearing by one's head is prohibited, as one cannot change the color of a single hair.

Matthew 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Speak truthfully and plainly, for any additional words are of evil.

Matthew 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

Jesus teaches his followers to turn the other cheek instead of retaliating with violence.

Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Jesus instructs us to turn the other cheek when we suffer injustice.

Matthew 5:40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

Let someone take what they want, and offer more in return.

Matthew 5:41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Go the extra mile and do more than what is asked of you.

Matthew 5:42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Give to those in need without hesitation.

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

Love your neighbor and do not hate your enemy.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Love your enemies and do good to those who hate you.

Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

God shows unconditional love to everyone, regardless of their character or behavior.

Matthew 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

People should not only love those who love them, as even tax collectors do, as there is no reward for doing so.

Matthew 5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Christ challenges those who think they are more righteous than others by pointing out that even the despised publicans (tax collectors) are capable of greeting their fellow man.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Christ calls us to strive for perfection, as our Father in Heaven is perfect.
