1. We must wage a game with differentiated worship.
If you look at verses 30 to 31 of the text, you can see that Elijah was betting on the game from the beginning through worship. Let's have a worship service together in a confrontation with the priests of Baal on Mount Carmel. Then Elijah commands all the people to turn to me. The people turn to Elijah. And before the worship service, we prepare first. Build a broken platform. The twelve sons of Jacob, or twelve tribes, were marked with stones, and an altar was built with twelve stones. But it is not a stone, it is the people of Israel. God's people are now building an altar. The people built an altar, and the people now kneel there. Then he cuts an angle, puts the calf on it, and digs a ditch. Dig a ditch and pour in water. Pour once, pour again, pour again, and the water overflows.
Elijah's worship was a differentiated worship. So, we pour water into the place where we put fire, confident of God's work. It definitely makes a difference.
Elijah wagered a game through worship and was successful with it.
Therefore, if worship is alive, the church has hope. There is hope in a country where worship is alive. On the other hand, it is not wrong to say that a church where worship is dead, even though it has a name, is actually a dead church, and a country where worship is dead is a country with no hope for the future.
