Title How to Raise (Judges 13:8-14)
Contents Today's era is an era where people are more interested in their children's education than ever before. However, the direction of education for children is being lost due to the excessive desire of parents. The text reminds us of the importance of educating our children. In the words of How to Raise Children, some important attitudes of parents regarding their children's education are expressed.
1. It refers to the responsibility of parents for the education of their children.
The Bible's teaching about children says that children are an inheritance from the Lord. It means that we are not our children, but we are stewards of God's inheritance. A steward cannot raise himself at will. It is only to be nurtured according to the will of the Lord God. Therefore, if we raise our children so that they do not resemble God, we will be held accountable. The Lord will be most pleased if you taught us to be like Him.
2. It refers to growing up through prayer.
To cultivate according to God's will, we must know what God wants us to do. The only way to know its meaning is to pray. If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously and unrestrained, and it will be given to him (James 1:5). Those who can always ask God how to raise them can raise them according to God's will, and God grants grace and blessings.
3. It says to teach according to the Word.
You must ask the messenger of God and nurture them according to the teachings.
An angel of God told us what not to do. But later Samson didn't. This is the issue of parenting we need to think about. Even if you were born through prayer and you know God's will through prayer, if you do not nurture it according to that will, you will eventually become a failure. Knowing is not enough. They must be nurtured with culture and discipline so that they can live like that.
