Title I'll Be a Wonder
Content Title: You will become a miracle
Bible: Ezekiel 36:32-38
Ezekiel was called as a prophet of God when the people of Israel were in a very difficult time and were committing a crime. They cried out to stop worshiping idols, forsake luxury and sexual immorality, and to repent and return to God. The people did not listen to Ezekiel. So God makes war. They send Babylon to conquer the kingdom. Many people died and were taken into captivity. This time, we spread hope and a message to those people who have been taken into captivity and are discouraged.
First: Let the ruins be built up.
“On the day that I cleanse you from all iniquity, says the Sovereign Lord, I will make cities dwelling, and what is desolate will be built” (verse 33). It has become a global economic powerhouse. This was clearly God's grace and blessing. God was pleased with the early morning prayers and the way they risked their lives to keep the fidelity of their faith under Japanese colonial rule, and through liberation, they built the ruined place. This is because God loves us and if we always repent and turn back to God, the wonderful grace and blessings of God will be poured out on us.
Second: He is transformed into the Garden of Eden.
“People will say, ‘This land was desolate, and now it is like the garden of Eden, and the desolate and desolate and ruined cities have walls and inhabitants’” (verse 35). It is a land of blessing and beauty (Genesis 2:12-15). But when we pray, God restores the ruined places like the Garden of Eden. God's promises never change. Verse 36 says, “I, the LORD, have spoken, and it will be done.” This word is a promise that God will fulfill what He has said. I hope that you will live in the Garden of Eden in this world.
Third: He revives people.
“Nevertheless, says the Sovereign Lord, they must ask me for this to be done for them, says the house of Israel. I will make them as numerous as flocks, like flocks for sacrifice, like flocks for the feasts of Jerusalem, so that there will be no human in the desolate city I will fill them with herds, and they will know that I am the Lord” (verses 37, 38). Humans cannot live in a desolate land. An endless desert uninhabited feels like hell. However, even if it is a hillside or a hill, when people live together, it feels like a land of blessing from God. The fact that the ruined cities have walls and inhabitants means that God allows the conditions for people to live.
