Title Is Failure Is God's Will?
Failure is God's will?
Joshua 7:1-15

Last week we talked about the battle of Jericho. We looked at the record of Joshua as an actual historical event, the meaning of what God required before the occupation, that is, 'Take off your sandals from your feet', and the meaning of the operation to occupy Jericho that God sent.
Based on archaeological excavations, we have seen that Jericho is a strong castle close to 20 meters high, with a double defense system of an outer and an inner wall. On the other hand, Ai, which was the target of the attack after Jericho, is a small city compared to Jericho. Isn't the name 'child'? Of course, it's not that easy because it's a fortress built on a hill, but it's still a good fortress compared to Jericho.
One question arises right here. Why was Jericho before Ai? Without considering the resulting record that the attack on Ai was unsuccessful, Ai was a much easier opponent than Jericho from an objective standpoint, and it wasn't too far away. But why did God make Jericho, the strong city, and the difficult city of Jericho collide from the beginning?
In fact, when we raise children and teach something, we teach the easy things first. Then you gradually teach the difficult things. It is common to do the easy things first and then do the difficult things after doing the easy things.
However, from the beginning, God gave the difficult city of Jericho as the first task and the relatively easy city of Ai as the next task.
