Title: Meditation of Isaac 28. HWP
Rebekah's father Bethuel and her brother Laban's answers show the attitude of a believer.
In other words, how can humans resist what God has already decided?
(50-51) Again, it can be seen that Abraham's faith was not in vain, and his wishes were fulfilled. (Heb 11:1)
From the fact that the prayer of faith brought good results, we learn that when we pray to the end without becoming discouraged, all things work together to bring about good results.
Meanwhile, Isaac must have known that Eliezer had gone to find his wife.
So he prayed over the immediate problem.
1. Isaac meditating = prayer
The difference between prayer and delusion is that delusion is just thinking without a purpose, but silent thinking is thinking about a certain object.
Isaac was a 40-year-old adult, but he did not marry according to his own thoughts, but God's will was fulfilled.
it is praying that
Like Abraham, he possessed a godly faith and a meek disposition.
Prayer always draws us closer to God. You should not pray impulsively, but make it a godly habit. And you have to apply it to your life.
2. Time to meditate
Isaac meditated on ‘at sunset’. He would have prayed, feeling the cool breeze on his skin as the sun went down and golden clouds shone on the horizon after a hard day's work.
We should choose the most appropriate time for prayer. Of course, it would be better if it was quiet time.
Jesus chose the early morning light as a prayer time (Mark 1ㅣ35) and also chose the night (Mark 14:23).
3. A place of contemplation
Isaac went out to the field to meditate. It was a quiet place with no people, so it was the best place to have fellowship with God.
It was there that he could see the presence and power of God.
Jesus Christ gave birth to a quiet place (Mark 1:35, Luke 4:42 5:16) as a place of prayer, such as mountains and wilderness.
