Title Isaiah's Wish / Isaiah 64:1-12
Contents Bible Reading: Isaiah 64:1-12
Subject: Isaiah's wish
Everyone has their own wishes. That wish may be one's own future wish for God, and there will also be hopes for other people and wishes for the nation, nation, and humankind.
However, the prophet Isaiah longed for God's power to be revealed with a greater and broader universal desire. That wish was Isaiah's confession of faith and prayer.
Let's examine what the wish of that universal and transcendent faith was through his confession prayer.
1. God will break the heavens and He will come (1-4).
Isaiah believed that the heavens, the spiritual realm, would be opened when God came.
In other words, when the heavens are opened and the Spirit of the Lord comes, there will be great changes in the mountains and streams of the earth and great things will happen to people.
This was the case with Darakbang on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4).
The Holy Spirit fell like a dove of rain from the Jordan River (Matthew 3:16), and the martyr Stephen saw Jesus Christ with power at the right hand of God (Acts 7:55).
2. I confess my sins before God who has come (6-7).
When you know your name, the nations will tremble (2),
Those who believe in him confess their sins and confess that they are in a sinful state.
In other words, the whole condition of salvation is the word that shows that there must be true repentance.
3. We pray for salvation (8-12).
Although in a miserable state of sin (10-12)
It is their people of the Lord God who seek with hope,
It was also because God became their Father (8-9).
