Title Jeremiah's Prayer (1)-Hesed's Prayer for God
Lamentations 3:19-23
On Good Friday evening, I would like to meditate on the prayer of Jeremiah. Let's look at Jesus Christ who was hung high on the cross and meditate on the wrath of God for our sins. Let us meditate on our Lord who cries out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Let's meditate on our sins that were so terrible that they crucified the Lord through Jeremiah's prayer.
Human sin is overflowing in this world. Day by day, even the saints who should worship God bow down in front of all kinds of idols. They are only trying to satisfy their own greed and lust, but justice and justice are nothing more than a pretense. Even the reality of worship has been corrupted. I look at the cross, but there is no dedication, forgiveness, and love.
Now the Lord is angry with these people. You will cast your beloved Church and your daughter Zion into a place of misery. The glory of Israel will be covered with a dark cloud of God's dreadful wrath.
Nevertheless, the saints exaggerately believe in God's grace. Because they think they are the chosen people. They claim such a covenant relationship, but are not really interested in their obligations as a covenant people. They seek self-satisfaction under the pretext of a religious life. We pursue peace and joy that is created arbitrarily regardless of the Bible. However, as a saint, he does not confess his shame.
Now the wrath of God is upon these heads....
