Title Joshua 06:6-13 Wait for tomorrow
There was a person who was very lazy. He suddenly became a diligent man by praying when he encountered difficulties while doing nothing for his body that would decay when he died. Weak human beings come to pray and seek God only when they encounter hardship.
God makes lazy and dirty humans sanctified and clean. He casts away greed and makes us meek and humble so that we can understand the meaning of failure and frustration.
We believers are those who wait for tomorrow. People who wait don't do what they want. I do not judge and act my own way, but quietly wait for God's will. We must wait. We need an attitude of waiting for the Lord's will in a relaxed manner. This faith in waiting creates patience. Among them, we discover that the factor of victory lies in the presence of God.
If we look at today's text, the problem is not the problem of Achan alone, but the intention of renewing the faith of the people of Israel. Even when they captured the city of Jericho, they didn't fight with guns and swords, but they carried the ark of the Covenant for a week and then it collapsed. By obeying God's word, he made it known that the sinful Canaan was judged to be completely destroyed. It was used as a tool to judge Canaan against Israel.
Obedient faith is what saves us and makes us successful. Israel is just an enforcer, and we have nothing to say that we won or occupied. In the holy war, robbery, fraud, robbery, and looting end up becoming worldly wars.
In fact, Achan's mistake causes him to lose the war. He hid a cloak, 200 silver shekels, and a nugget of gold. This was done with covetousness. We need to get rid of elements like Achan for us today. As a person who does God's work, he became greedy.
There are many people who have failed in their life of faith and are too greedy. No matter how good the word is, if you do not receive it as it is, covetousness will grow. I don't know how many things in the church that morality disappears and they only want to carry out their own intentions. It is said that faith is enough. Does it make sense to say that faith is enough?
God is personal. When you become a person, your faith becomes valuable and the light is revealed. Ultimately, it is about sanctifying yourself and waiting for tomorrow. It is important for people to do their work and wait for the will of God. Tomorrow's success cannot be guaranteed if you do not eliminate the causes of failure. Success doesn't happen overnight.
