Title Judges 14:5-9 God's work
Contents Judges 14:5-9
The Manoahs strongly opposed the marriage of Samson, who was born a Nazarite, to a foreign woman. However, as the old saying goes, 'There is no parent who can overcome children', Samson's stubbornness led the Manoah and his wife to go down to Timnah with Samson. Even the children I give birth to are not the way I want them to be. It must have been the wrong way, so how painful it must have been for the parents to follow their son when their children said that they would eventually marry a foreign woman even though their parents were against them.
But on the way down to Timnah, Samson met a fierce young lion. This young lion refers to a young lion that is at its peak. At that time, there were quite a few wild animals in the vineyards, and sometimes lions appeared to eat them. A lion, strong enough to eat wild beasts, appeared in front of Samson, and Samson faced the greatest crisis.
But it was God's work. Even though his parents stopped him, he did not listen, so God blocked Samson's wrong way through a messenger. Still, Samson did not understand it.
Dear brothers and sisters, when we go astray, God sometimes blocks our way in various ways. If you're trying to do something, and there's a problem, or a crisis, you have to pause. And you should ask God in earnest prayer whether God is blocking you.
Samson may have just thought that a lion had stumbled across my path. But there are no coincidences in our lives. God's clear plan and will is always with us in our lives. Therefore, whatever we do, we should always be spiritually sensitive and follow God's will.
In a situation where there was no choice but to become food for lions, God strongly poured ‘the Spirit of Jehovah’ on Samson. Then Samson tore the lion to pieces like a young goat. This is absolutely impossible with human strength. If Samson had been a spiritually sensitive person even at this moment, he would have known God's work and immediately knelt before God. But Samson didn't realize that.
Dear brothers and sisters, I hope that whenever you wake up and see God's work, you will become believers who turn and act according to God's will, not mine.
