Title: Korah's Rebellion 16.hwp
1. Korah's rebellion (1-3)
No matter how good and capable a leader is, there will always be a group of rebels.
Lucifer rebelled against God and fell to the bottom of Hades.
Judas rebelled against the Lord and bought a field with the wages of unrighteousness.
This series of facts teaches us about the dreadful consequences of rebellion, and that there are everywhere in rebellion after Satan's counsel.
1) A party is formed around Gora - To harbor dissatisfaction and to bark at the party is the same as barking at the devil's house.
2.) Boasting beyond measure - This is pride and is hated by God. God hates a proud man, and he destroys his house and puts him to shame.
2. If you challenge the glory of God on earth, you will be destroyed.
Korah, all his family, and all his possessions, who challenged God's work and God's glory, perished as the earth devoured it with its mouth open. If you challenge God head-on on the earth, you will be attacked by the earth and heaven, and you will be unable to continue your life. (De 28:15-68)
3. Grief that drives death (41-45)
When the 250 men who made the party with Korah saw the destruction of the Korah family, they complained against Moses and Aaron. All these misfortunes and deaths were caused by challenging Moses and Aaron, and they struck Moses and Aaron with the logic that Moses and Aaron were the cause of this woe. There is logic in resentment.
However, because the logic of their resentment is that they do not acknowledge God, it is unacceptable to God and brings death.
As the wrong logic of resentment spread rapidly throughout Israel, so did the plague of death. At this time, between the 14,000 who had already died and the people of Israel who were still alive, Aaron the priest stood with the censer of atonement, and death ceased.
Praise the eternal priest of Christ Jesus our Lord, who prevents death and gives life
