Title Leah and Rachel / Genesis 29:13-20
Description Jacob flees to his maternal uncle Laban's house to escape his older brother, and begins a new life in the land of Haran. Laban hires Jacob, who is good at work, as a worker for 7 years on condition that he marry his daughter, deceives Jacob, who is inflated in a dream of getting Rachel as a bride, and makes him spend the first night with his sister Leah. In the end, he fell into Laban's cunning scheme and worked with his uncle for 14 years to get Rachel as his wife.
Although he has two wives at once, Jacob always loves Rachel. Leah, unable to withstand the pressure of her greedy father, gets into an unhappy marriage that she does not want and lives in pain. I wish my husband would love his younger brother even half as much, but he couldn't dream of a newlywed life and spend the night in tears. God saw that Leah was not loved by her husband and opened the door to Leah's womb. Here we must remember that it is God who opens the door of the womb.
Finally Leah gave birth to a son and named him Reuben. It means that God has taken care of my suffering.
It is Leah's confession of faith that even if her husband turns away from me, God will give her true comfort. Leah gave birth to a second son and named him Simeon. It is a confession that after hearing that her husband was not loved, she gave her son as a gift of comfort.
He gave birth to a third son and named him Levi. I have given birth to three sons, and now my husband is united with me. But her husband's heart did not return. Then she gave birth to a fourth son, and he named him Judas.
Leah waited for her husband to return for a long time, but realized that it was futile, and she decided to stop grieving and to only depend on God and praise God in the name of the child. Leah was better than Rachel in external terms.
Because I was lacking, I could not receive warm love from my husband once in my life, and I lived in tears and pain. As a result, God made Leah the father of King David.
and finally elevated him to the glorious position of becoming the father of our Lord Jesus. Trust in God who is fair
Congratulations to all of you. Amen
