Let’s say a lot of blessings.”
(1 Kings 8:54-62)
new translation)
54 So Solomon knelt down and looked up at the sky, and spread his hands out and prayed so earnestly, and then got up from the altar of the Lord.
55 He looked at the whole congregation of Israel and blessed them with a loud voice.
56 "The Lord has given rest to his people Israel, just as he has said, and he has fulfilled all the good words that he spoke through his servant Moses, without omitting a single word. The Lord is to be praised.
57 May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors. May the Lord neither forsake us nor forsake us.
58 May we incline our hearts to you, so that we may walk in the path that you have indicated, and that we may keep the commandments, decrees, and ordinances that you have given to our ancestors.
59 May the Lord our God always remember these supplications and prayers before the Lord today, day and night. May God be merciful to your servants and to your people Israel, day by day, according to their circumstances.
60 In that way, I hope that all the people of the world will know that you are God and there are no other gods.
61 Therefore, may you, his people, become one with the Lord our God, and walk in Your precepts as you do today, and keep Your commandments."
62 After this had been done, the king and all the Israelites who were with the king offered sacrifices before the Lord.
