Introduction
: Confirmation of the Great Commission is shown in two acts of Jesus
One). God's Reception of the Exalted Christ (19)
On the 40th day after his resurrection, the Lord ascended into heaven and returned to his heavenly throne. It is because he has finished all the missions that came to earth.
God accepted the exalted Christ and made him sit at the right hand of God. But
2). Intercessory Ministry for Saints (20)
God's work of redemption on earth had to be continued by the disciples.
For the principles of redemption accomplished by Jesus Christ to be applied to individuals, they must depend on the work of the Holy Spirit.
And it had to be done with the evidence of the Word. The Lord began to do this while at the right hand of God, and
He had to prepare what he would do for the redeemed saints.
1. God's reception of the exalted Christ (19)
Ascension to the throne of power ① Confirmation that he is alive ② Confirmation that he is the Son of God
③ Confirmation of the actual kingdom of heaven ④ Confirmation that the gospel is the truth ⑤ Confirmation that the Great Commission is the mission of believers
⑥ Confirmation that the necessary abilities have been given ⑦ Confirmation of actual love and care
1) Reception of God (19)
'After the Lord Jesus had finished speaking, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God' (verse 19).
① 'The Word is finished' means that he came to this world and finished all the evidence of the truth to be witnessed.
② 'Sat down at the right hand of God' means that God received Jesus Christ and treated him with the utmost respect. At the same time
③ It means the consolation of Christ's suffering and the reward of glory for his humiliation.
