Title Matthew 14:22-33 Faith is trust
Content Belief is not one's own convictions. It is personal trust in the Lord, the object of our faith. I see a lot of believers who emphasize their beliefs as if they were beliefs. It does not mean that my beliefs, my will, or my own will be done. Faith is trust in our Lord, the object of our faith. Faith means changing the object of trust from me to our Lord. Faith is really personally believing and trusting in the Lord who loves me. Let go of my beliefs.
Faith requires immediate action. Peter prays to his Master, the Lord, so that he can walk on water. The Lord allows very simply. At this time, Peter did not listen to complex commands and draw conclusions in complex research, but moved toward the Lord with simple and pure faith. Even if it was the sea, his pure faith acted immediately.
There are not a few people who are pathetic by memorizing the Bible and quoting it very well depending on the circumstances. Faith that cannot be put into practice is not faith. Faith is a living, active, vital activity. If you have faith, it means you have to act on it.
Faith is the avoidance of fear. If we reinterpret whether we doubted, it is why our hearts were divided. Our faith is split in two in the face of fear of the environment. The influence of sight and hearing frightens our faith. In fact, when you watch a horror movie, you see that the fear diminishes when you watch it without hearing it. He is the master of my life and yours. Therefore, it is the Lord, not the world, that we should fear. Look to the Lord. Then you will find true freedom from the temptations and fears of the world.
Dear brothers and sisters, we have already been given faith. When we confess Jesus Christ as Lord, God has given us faith as a gift. To have faith means to be connected to the Lord, and to live means that He has given us faith. We live because the Lord leads us like a wheel connected to us. I hope in the name of the Lord that you live a life of true faith in the Lord every day.
