Title Matthew 18:21-22 Forgiveness and Love

Content Matthew 18:21-22

The duty of the saints is not to condemn and turn away from sinners, but to reconcile the two sides of forgiveness with the love of life. Peter expressed it with great generosity of forgiveness seven times, but Jesus hides Peter's proud heart by saying seventy times. He was not talking about counting the number seventy seven times, he was talking about infinite forgiveness. This truth is the culmination of the love for sinners of Jesus Christ, the cessation of retaliation, and the symbol of harmony.

At one time, Jews were unable to freely marry even with a suitable partner, and were ostracized from schools, parks, workplaces, and social groups. In addition, during World War II, they were massacred by Nazi Germany with electricity and gas.

Why were they so harshly turned away and removed? It was the price of the death of Jesus Christ. But this is not a punishment or a curse in the intention of Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ had mercy on the cross, saying, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34).

The Apostle John, the last writer of the Gospels, said, "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. He did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but through him the world that they might be saved” (John 3:16-17), Jesus said that retaliation or revenge was completely excluded from the nation, society, family, and individual.

In particular, the scope of the love of Jesus Christ includes even those who are traditionally unable to be with them. In other words, sinners like tax collectors are dishonest and anti-state people who harass their people. But Jesus Christ was attached to the lives of tax collectors and sinners, whom the religious leaders and people despised at the time. In other words, the message of Jesus Christ only told us to love our neighbors as ourselves and even our enemies, but he never retaliated to keep his kingship or priesthood, and he did not sympathize with certain people even if the majority treated them as sinners. Word.

Saints! Jesus Christ is looking for a tolerant person. I hope you all belong here.
