Title Matthew 01:23 Immanuel
Content (Matthew 1:23)
In December, there is something to look forward to the most. It's Christmas Day. Whether you believe in Jesus or non-believer, we expect everyone to be happy and joyful on this day. Not only the church, but also the streets, buildings, and even the houses are decorated for today.
But if we honestly ask ourselves why we look forward to Christmas, we will find that one must-have is missing. What is it? Jesus. There is Santa giving gifts, but no Jesus. There is a message about Christmas, but the 'meaning' of the message is lost. The old tradition of Christmas is alive, but the 'life' for today is dead. We are having a Christmas without baby Jesus.
Christmas is an event that shows that the Holy God is with us as sinful humans. Therefore, the true joy and joy of Christmas must first be found in the fact that God lives with us. But people seek true joy and pleasure from wealth and knowledge, honor and success, power and authority, etc. Although it may bring partial joy and pleasure, it is not permanent. That's the problem.
The word 'eternity' in the Bible is a term that reveals the limits of human beings. Ecclesiastes 3:14 says, “Whatever God does, it endures forever, and cannot be added to or decreased from; I knew that God did these things so that men might be feared before Him.” Therefore, eternity is above heaven. Therefore, when there is grace from above, we can enjoy eternity. That eternity has come among us today. You are with us.
Now we have to recover the lost baby Jesus, who is the owner of true joy and joy. Just as the wise men from the East traveled a long way to find the baby Jesus, who was the true joy and joy, just as the shepherds who heard the good news of great joy came and worshiped the baby Jesus, we can all enjoy the joy of 'The Christmas' and You must recover and enjoy the emotion.
