Title Matthew 22:36-40 The best life
Contents Matthew 22:36-40
People love to hear compliments. Because praise is recognition. By the way, "who you get compliments from" is more important than "what compliments you get". The saints should strive to receive praise from the Lord.
People praise them for their interests, but God's judgment is correct. Who did the Lord praise? In a nutshell, you praised someone who lived the best life possible. People want the best, but the Lord wants the best. What is the best life? It is a life with all your heart, all your life, and all your will. The mind is the totality of the inner disposition that includes the intellectual, emotional, and volitional functions of a person. Life is life. There is nothing more powerful than running at the risk of your life. Meaning refers to a clear goal. The Lord commends those who do their best with clear goals. Then, what should we do with all our heart, all our soul, and all our will?
First, do it for God. God said, "Those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me I will despise" (1 Samuel 2:30). When we live God-centered, God gives us grace and blessings. God loves those who do their best with all their heart, soul, and mind.
Second, do it for your work. He said, “What shall be sought of those entrusted with it is fidelity” (1 Corinthians 4:2). The Lord commends those who do their best for their work. In the parable of the talents, God has entrusted all of us with work and praised the servant who does his best in his work as “good and faithful servant.
What have you been given? Did you do your best and be loyal to it? Seeing our best efforts, many will exalt God's name.
Third, do it for your own growth. God has given talents to everyone. In Matthew 25, the parable of the talents appears, and it is said that “each one was entrusted with work according to his ability” (Matthew 25:14). This saying means that God has given talents (gifts) to all who are born into this world. No one uses all their talents (gifts). Therefore, we must not stop our research and efforts for a better today than yesterday and a better tomorrow than today. For God, for our work, for our own growth, let's do our best to live a life with no regrets.
