“We exhort you as workers with God. lest the grace of God be received in vain” (2 Corinthians 6:1).
<Meditation>
Around this time of year, most people say Song Gu-Young-Shin. In addition, each church holds a Songgu Youngshin service. The word “Song Gu-Young-Shin” refers to those who spend the old year and welcome the new year. But this does not mean just letting go of the time that has passed. And it doesn't just mean welcoming the time to come.
For the believer, the prayer and the spirit must have an action meaning.
We must stand at the end of the year with self-confidence for not living according to the mission God has given us. And for the mission God has given, we must stand at the beginning of the year with the determination to tie the laces of our sneakers.
Through the words of the text, the Apostle Paul speaks with an earnest heart.
“Do not let God’s grace be in vain.”
If you read this verse in another translation, it says, “Do not waste any of the wonderful life that God has given us” (Meiji Bible). These words pierce us. There is no point in denying that it is not. I have received many graces, but I have not been able to take advantage of them. Couldn't share. I put it up in my barn and it rotted. Therefore, even on the last day of 2010, we are still standing before God as unregenerate sinners.
But God is giving us the opportunity to make the last day of 2010 a hope. He is the one who gives you the opportunity to make the last day of the year into a dream. On the last day of the year, we need to restore the original meaning of repentance of “turning back”, and do not hesitate even if it is “the trouble of going back the way we came” on the new day of the new year.
It is the last day of 2010 and the dawn of 2011.
On this day when alpha and omega harmonize, we pray that it will be a day when we all come closer to God, who have been praying and meditating with the “Adent Meditation Book”.
