title narrow gate
Contents
The model of the narrow gate that the Lord is talking about was located in the large towns and cities of the Roman Empire at the intersection of roads, ports, or rivers. The road was designed to lead to a gate leading to the city wall, which had one large gate and one small gate. The large door is open during the day and closed at night. When urgent work requires you to enter, a small door opens with permission. The gates of the mansion were similarly made, and Jesus seems to be referring to this little gate. Jesus is giving this example to assert that there are few deaths to be saved because many do not want to enter through the narrow gate. However, in order to enter the gate, one has to bend over. This is what the Lord wants to say that you must make every effort.
The narrow gate is that the first is that there are few people looking for it, and the second is that there is a time constraint and that proof of passage is required.
[Matthew 7:13-14] “Enter through the narrow gate. The gate that leads to destruction is wide, and the road wide is the road, and many who go there. The gate that leads to life is so narrow, and the road cramped, so few find it.”
Living as a Christian should be a being of peace for all. But clear lines must be observed.
Our clear posture separates us from others. The separation is not a sense of heterogeneity, but a natural separation and identity.
[Luke 6:39] Jesus told them another parable. "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Won't they both fall into a pit?
[ Matthew 4:17 Mark 1:14-15; Luke 4:14-15] From that time on, Jesus began to proclaim, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
The kingdom of heaven is eternal, but our moment of repentance is not long.
The Lord says we do not know when we go to Him. People will arrive and appeal to the associations their masters had in the past. The owner of the house taught them on the road, ate and socialized with them. But the owner rejects their appeal. And repeat the words of verse 27.
[John 4:24] God is spirit. Therefore, those who worship God must worship in spirit and truth."
If you know the Lord for a long time but do not have faith, it is of no use. As Jesus had previously warned, he is showing that it is not enough to listen to the Lord's teachings and invite him to dinner. People must realize the need for the special time in Luke 12:54-57 and show the fruits of repentance in Luke 13”1-9.
