God is called the God of the covenant, the people of Israel are called the covenant people, and the Bible, the word of God, is called the Book of Covenant because it was fulfilled by promises. Furthermore, the Bible is divided into the Old Testament (Old Promise) and the New Testament (New Promise).
Blessings without promises are not God's blessings. A people without promises is a people who perish. God promises, blesses, warns, and sometimes angers. Dear saints, I hope you have many happy and blessed promises.
rainbow promise
God has decided to destroy all life that breathes through the nose on all the earth. The rain that fell for 40 days and nights swallowed up the whole land, and only those who were in Noah's ark and the animals survived. And God made a promise to Noah on behalf of mankind, and placed a rainbow as that promise. The rainbow is the shadow of the cross of Jesus Christ.
Exodus from Egypt
The Promise of Salvation God made a promise to the hopeless Israel through suffering and injustice in Egypt. “You must bring them out of Egypt.”
Promise of Canaan “I will surely bring you into Canaan, the promised land of God flowing with milk and honey”
cross promise
The Promise of Atonement The cross is the only covenant for a new humanity and a new life. A Christian has no need to be afraid, no matter how difficult or desperate he is, as long as he looks at the cross.
The cross is the absolute safe foundation of our lives, like the rainbow covenant that we will never destroy it again by a flood.
The Promise of Resurrection Jesus spoke of his body that had become a temple. Only after he was raised from the dead did his disciples remember these words and believed the Bible and the words of Jesus.
promise to come back
Promise of companionship “Teach them to obey all that I have commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”
Heaven's Promise "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, you may be also."
All of God's promises are full of God's strong will to save us. Believers must believe in God's promise of love and rise up boldly and become leaders of faith who march forward.
