A family's prosperity can never be achieved without God's blessings. When a family is blessed, it is the revival of the church and the development of the nation. Therefore, the family of the saints must be a family that receives God's blessing.
Then, what kind of family will receive the blessings of God that the Bible speaks of?
“Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord and walks in his ways” (Psalm 128:1). What is the secret to being blessed? It is to live a life of faith that serves God well. The blessing that comes from serving God well is the blessing of the family. As I feared the Lord and walked his path, the blessing of eating according to the hard work came, and the blessing of prospering my wife, children, and descendants. If one person fears God and walks his path, the family and further the family will be blessed. This is the promise God has given us.
'Awe' means to bow down to worship and serve with fear and trembling. It is putting God in the highest place in the family and making it the highest object of worship. A family that listens to God's word countless times and reads it every day and tries to live by it is a blessed family. As the Word says, we give tithes, lead a prayer life, and lead a evangelistic life. The service life is also according to the words of the Bible. A family that simply listens to the sermon, reads the Bible and realizes it and then follows it is a blessed family.
In this way, I feared God and walked his way, that is, I lived according to the Word, and three blessings came upon me. First, it is the blessing of health. The saying 'You will eat according to the toil of your hands' means that He has given you health so that you can sweat through hard work. Health is the greatest blessing God has given you.
Second, it is material blessings. It is a blessing that pays for your hard work. If God does not protect us, we cannot eat according to our hard work.
Third, it is the blessing of a peaceful and secure family. A wife like a fruitful vine, that is, a faithful wife who takes good care of her family. It also refers to children like young olive trees, healthy and wise children growing up with fragrance and beauty like an olive tree. Furthermore, he is promising the blessing of prospering even his descendants.
A family that exalts God supreme, a family that fears God and lives according to His Word. Therefore, I want to be a blessed family that leads to prosperity for generations to come: a family rich in health and material resources, a faithful wife, a husband who fulfills his responsibilities as the head of the household, and a wise and beautiful child.
