Title: The Blessing of Those Who Trust in the Lord

Text: (Psalm 146:1-10)

Hymns: 382. don't worry about you

Date: November 25, 2010 (Thursday) 5 am

Venue: Jeonju Yebut Church Small Worship Room

Introduction

This psalm says that those who depend on them are blessed. In terms of redemption history, it can be said that the saved saints are the blessings of those who follow his word and entrust everything to him.

Why do those who trust in the Lord receive blessings?

1. It is because we depend on the Almighty (verses 3-4).

“Do not depend on a strong man, and do not depend on someone who cannot save you. When a man loses his breath, he returns to dust, and all his plans are lost on that very day.”

That's right. Without God's help, you can never succeed. Unless God is with them, the labor of those who build the house is in vain, and the watchman who guards the city is in vain. Blessed are those who depend on God to do the impossible.

2. It is because we depend on the Creator (verses 5-6).

“Blessed is the man who has the God of Jacob as his help and hopes in the Lord his God. The Lord made the heavens and the earth and all that is in the sea, and he keeps his faithfulness forever.”

Those who rely on God for help can receive his help. When you help, there is nothing that cannot be accomplished because He helps you with the power of creating heaven and earth. Man cannot do it, but God can. That is why those who trust in God who creates all things are blessed.

3. It is because they depend on the eternal ruler (verses 7-10).

“He judges with justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry, frees prisoners from prison, opens the eyes of the blind, and raises up the lowly. The Lord loves the righteous, keeps the stranger, helps the widow and the widow, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. Zion, the Lord reigns forever! My God reigns from generation to generation! Hallelujah."

That's right. As the text says, God is love. He is the eternal Ruler who cares for orphans and widows and feeds them with the food they need. That is why it is said to be a blessing to depend on Him.

conclusion

It is not blindly saying that those who trust in God are blessed. He is omnipotent, but he does not reign, but because he reigns with love for ever and ever, so blessed are those who depend on him.
