Content Title: Life Like a Fog
Text: James 4:13-17
'What will happen tomorrow or 10 minutes from now?' We don't know at all. As if ridiculing our thoughts that tomorrow will be the same as today, there are endless incidents and accidents happening around us. Today's verse compares our lives to mist. How to successfully live a foggy life?
'Mist' means weak. If only one blood vessel in our body is blocked, we cannot live properly. We are only extremely weak beings. Therefore, a successful life can only be achieved by relying on the Almighty and perfect God.
Fog means 'life is short'. No matter how thick the fog, it disappears as soon as the sun rises. Moses compared time to arrows in the Psalms. In order to succeed in this short life that has disappeared, you must spend the rest of your days for the glory of God. To do that, we must love God and love our neighbor.
Also, the fact that life is short tells us that death is sure to come. Death certainly does come, and it comes in vain. And after death is the judgment of the soul. The way to receive salvation without shame when standing before God's judgment seat is to believe in Jesus, strive for good works, love Him, and live a life that pleases God. This is how to succeed in a foggy life.
In a foggy life, there is no tomorrow or next year. There is only now. If you can't do it now, you can't do it tomorrow or next year. Let us all be zealous for the work of the Lord “now”.
