44. I am the LORD your God; I am holy; set yourselves apart and sanctify yourself, and do not defile yourselves with any creeping beasts that creep on the ground.
45. I am the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God; be holy too, for I am holy.
new testament
13. We will all become one in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, until we become a perfect man, to the stature of the stature of the stature of Christ.
14. This is so that we will no longer be children, and we will not be driven and tossed by every wind of doctrine, falling into the deceitfulness of men and the deceitful temptations of men.
15. But speaking the truth in love, you may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, which is Christ.
16. From him the whole body is connected and united with the help of each joint, and it works according to the measure of each member, so that the body grows and builds itself up in love.

What is the church for? (3) (Ephesians 4:13-16)
The church exists to grow like Jesus Christ. Humans were created in the image of God. What is the image of God? It can be seen by looking at Jesus. Because Jesus is God in human flesh. He came into the world and showed us the true human form.
1. The church is a place where we grow in the image of Jesus. "U.S… You will become a perfect man, even to the point of being full of the stature of the stature of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13). Jesus’ patience, forgiveness, gentleness, humility, and love are what we should emulate. By learning and knowing the Word and believing in the help of the Holy Spirit, our lives will change like Jesus.
2. Temptation gives us an opportunity to be like Jesus. The Bible tells us that there will be “the deceitfulness of men and the deceitful temptations” (Ephesians 4:14). It is not a sin to be tempted. Through these temptations, we can choose to be truly like Jesus. “… When you face trials of various kinds, count them all joy.” Through trials, we grow.
3. Being like Jesus takes time. “In everything you will grow up into him” (Ephesians 4:15). It takes time to grow anything. We are already a holy people (Leviticus 11:44), but we must wait to become holy. Don't think of yourself as if it's already done, don't be impatient because you can't change quickly, get training and refinement, and abide in the things you've learned and have confidence in (2 Timothy 3:14), the power of the Lord will change us.
