Title When the Swallow Flies Low
Contents
If the swallow flies low James 4:1-10
When it rains, swallows fly low. Because when it rains, the dragonfly flies low. The swallow flies low to prey on the dragonfly. So if the swallow flies low, it will rain.
We should be able to talk about the future by seeing what is happening now.
Today's text tells us that no matter how much we gain and get and try to receive, we do not receive.
The reasons for not getting things for greed, envy, and lust are the reasons why you didn't get them, the reasons you didn't get them.
Because they are fundamentally things that come from God, we are at the limit of not being able to receive even if we ask because the way from God is blocked.
What must we do to draw close to God?
first. Free yourself from arrogance.(6)
God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.
Second. It is to resist the devil.(7)
The devil rushes in to devour us like a roaring lion. In Paul's story and in Peter's warning, James' warning today is also to resist the devil.
Third, you will draw closer to God.(8)
The reason we draw near to God is that when we are close to God, God draws closer to us.
Fourth, be sanctified! And to humble yourself before the Lord.(8,10)
To speak of holiness as a condition of drawing closer to God means that our lives are polluted and we cannot come close to God.
The way is “change it” in the second half of verse 9. We must have grace in this word. You need to change it.
Jesus, the model of our holiness and the model of our faith, did so.
We must follow Him as those who have received His favor.
In 2012, when we are determined and determined how we should live, we first look at what our current situation is, and then become closer to God rather than being friends with the world. I pray that you will prepare for the year of receiving such grace that exalts us personally, and that it will come true, I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ.
