Worship (Romans 12:1)-⑽
“Therefore, brethren, in the mercies of God I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
The form of worship can be broadly divided into two types. One is worship for God, and the other is worship for humans. Today's text is talking about spiritual worship (logikh;n latreivan). Here, the word spiritual means ① reasonable ② rational. So, what does proper and reasonable spiritual worship mean?
First, it must be worship that pleases God. “It is said that God is pleased with your body.” The meaning of rejoicing (eujavreston) has a deep meaning: ① Satisfied ② Acceptable ③ Satisfied ④ Thankful ⑤ Thankful. Worship that pleases God means to offer worship that is holistic with wisdom. In other words, it can be said that we fully praise and worship God with our whole body, mind, and mind. Up to now, most of us have tried to get joy and pleasure through the atmosphere of worship, the praise of the choir, and the preacher's sermon. However, the Bible says that before the worship service, I must prepare myself in advance with joy, emotion, and emotion, and worship.
Second, it must be a holy living worship--“It is said to be offered as a holy living sacrifice.” The meaning of holy means to be pure and without blemish. In the Old Testament, when offering sacrifices to God, animals were slaughtered and offered. But the text says to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice. The meaning of living is ① to be seized with vitality, ② to exert the function of life, and ③ to be full of vitality and vitality. The meaning of sacrificial/sacrifice is ① consecration and worship to God ② meat of sacrifice ③ offering ④ offering. Therefore, the holy living sacrifice means that we, the slaves of sin, have been washed with the blood of Jesus Christ and live for the Lord with the new life He gave. In other words, for those who believe in Jesus, life should be worship, and life should be worship.
