“He who has ears to hear, let him hear, and he said to them, “Be careful with yourselves what you hear. With the measure that you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you. 4:23-25)
Word: The Lord said that those who have will receive more, and those who do not have even what they have will be taken away. The Lord said that what was taken from the one who has not will be given to the one who has. At first glance, the word rich, poor, poor comes to mind. Are you saying that you want to promote the rich, the poor, the poor? You're welcome. We must know the will of the Lord. Verse 23 says, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” That is, to properly understand the words of the Lord.
What does counting mean in “In the same measure with which you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you”? It refers to a life that cares about others, not a life of selfishness. There are many neighbors around us who are waiting for our help. Love them and take care of them. What we have is to give and share with our neighbors. To such a person, God gives grace and more.
Verse 25 says, “To him who has, he will receive, and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.” The person here does not refer to one who possesses many things. The possessor whom the Lord speaks of is the one who knows how to count others. Those who know how to share with neighbors and those who know how to give are those who have it.
Those who share with their neighbors have as much as they share. If a person who owns 10,000 won shares it with his neighbors, he has as much as 10,000 won. However, if you own 100 million won and cannot share it, you cannot say you have 100 million won. No matter how much he has, he who cannot share with his neighbors is poor.
We are proud of what we have. But it is only a matter of time when it will leave me. Just because I own a lot doesn't mean I can't always be mine. Therefore, we must become those who can share. The Lord protects such a person and entrusts him with more. The Lord entrusts many things to those who have. Please believe that God will give you greater blessings when you live a life of sharing and giving.
