(1 Timothy 6:11-21)
Broadly speaking, there are two ways to live in the world. How to live as people of the world and how to live as people of God. The principle of how to live as a worldly person is to live to please yourself. For these people, it is meaningless to give up, humble themselves, and sacrifice themselves, since their own perspective is always the center of everything. You can get some satisfaction and joy from living as a person in the world, but in the end, your emotions, gratitude, and true joy will dry up and you will fall into emptiness. If arrogance and bravado are added to fill this void, you will fall into deeper confusion and pain. As a result, he becomes an unsatisfied person and causes endless murmurings, complaints, quarrels, and quarrels. As a result, the way to live as a worldly person does not achieve true peace and always leads to an unstable and unsatisfying state. It seems wise to live arrogantly in the pursuit of self-interest, but the truth is, even the world doesn't love them. A person who does not have an attitude of deep gratitude, dedication, service, and self-control is difficult to be loved by the world.
The way to live as a man of God is very simple. The principle is not to put ourselves at the center of our lives, but to have God. Because that God is a God of peace, God's people choose to live a life of keeping peace. The way of life of God's people is not to live to win, but to enjoy and keep peace. Even if we achieve victory and win, we will hurt someone's heart. So you break someone's peace. Therefore, you should not become a person who lives by breaking the peace of others. The people of God are those who keep and achieve peace within, at home, and in various relationships. Although it may seem wise to live assertively, we must live in this world as people of God. If we understand the heart of God who cares for and loves the fewest of people, sinners, we can live in joy and excitement at every moment in this life. Not because of self-satisfaction, but because of the grace given to me and the love of God.
It is for this reason that the path of the servants of the Lord, who work silently in the churches established all over the world, continues without end. It is not because the way of ministry satisfies self-satisfaction and desires, but because we are moved by God's grace and serve the church and members with God's heart and eyes. We called it the fragrance of the Lord. We must move forward with a life that gives glory to the Lord by giving off a beautiful fragrance in our lives. We should always remember that true joy comes not only from satisfying “I” but also from the path of thanksgiving, godliness, sacrifice, and service that comes from the true knowledge of the true God.
