《The Value of Life》
(2 Corinthians 4:7-18)
① Man was created from dust.
We must not deny that man was built from dust. It is important to acknowledge this fact. In today's text, humans are called earthen vessels, but earthen vessels are made of clay. Weak and fragile. It means lowly.(…) We come from dust and return to dust. Everything that your eyes can see comes from the soil, and when its function is finished, it all becomes dirt.(…)
② Humans must have the Spirit of God.
Please think of something valuable here. Man is determined by the treasure in him. A person's value is evaluated according to how cleanly the image of God is preserved. Human beings who have left the image of God and are left with only a lump of dirt are not called human beings, but flesh. Therefore, God's judgment is upon the flesh. We must keep this truth in our hearts. Even though it is a clay vessel, if it has treasures in it, the vessel becomes a treasure vessel. If you have the Spirit of God, you become a living soul. An earthen vessel is still a earthen vessel. After all, it's a pottery bowl. As Paul said, the exceeding greatness of power belongs to God. It is not mine.(…)
③ The value of life is revealed when you have a treasure and live like a treasure.
Put idols into your life. Below the idol. Do you live for material things? Substance is below. Do you live for fame? It is less than honor. Are you living for God? Its value is less than God, but it is said to be more precious than the world. God is more precious than heaven. So, if you live for God, you are more precious than the world.(…) Sinchon Church is weak. It's no good. It must be filled with earthenware containing the treasure. Only then can we overcome the darkness of this age. Amen.
