Title: Lord, Send Someone Who Can Send
(Master.
When you watch TV, at the end of the year, there is an event called the Popular Word Awards ceremony. I don't know what it means, but among the buzzwords that are popular these days, there are various buzzwords such as 歐米か? Among them, there is something called KY, which is popular among young children.
Do you guys know what that means? It is called KY after the English initials of 空 がよめない, and it is said that such a person is called KY. Since I am a person who doesn’t understand the atmosphere well, it seemed like the atmosphere was treated a little differently. A representative of such people is also found in the Bible.
Moses is such a person. It feels like Moses has no idea what kind of situation he is in right now and how he is facing God.
There are humble people in the world and there are proud people
Moses' actions in today's text are far from being humble, and they seem to be unable to grasp the atmosphere at all. I feel sad.
At the same time, it felt bitter to see us.
As God's wonderful plan for Moses was about to unfold, my eyes focused on a certain object in today's text. It is a cane.
Verse 17, “You take hold of this staff and say, “What kind of staff is this staff?
Verse 20 says, “Moses was returning to Egypt with his wife and sons on a donkey, and he took the staff of God in his hand.” It is written as “the staff of God.”
No matter where you look in the Bible, there is no special staff that God specifically gave Moses.
If so, what does this mean? Shall we take a look at chapter 4 verse 2?
“And the Lord said to him, What is in your hand?” He said, “A staff.”
The staff of Moses, which was originally possessed, is expressed by changing the name to the staff of God in verse 20. Is the record wrong? The staff of verse 2 or the staff of verse 20 must be the same staff... …
That's not it. Before God called and before God used the staff in Moses' hand, it was just a shepherd's staff.
However, when God was with him, what Moses had in his hand had already become God's staff, not the shepherd's humble staff. It is a symbol of God's power and a staff that can work miracles.
Now, then, have I been called by God today? Could it have been called?
We are ekklesia (church) They must have been called.
What do I have in my hand now? nothing? Really nothing?
I think it would have been better if it was not necessarily a staff that Moses had in his hand.
David was also a shepherd, but didn't God use the slingshot in his hand to save the Israelites from the Philistines?
What do I have in my hand?
Even if people laugh at me for saying that what I have in my hand is very small and insignificant, God says no. Let's listen to the testimony of the Bible, whether it is true or not.
1 Corinthians 1:27 “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong… … ”
Please believe that the small, insignificant thing I have will be my rod of Moses today. However, Moses is really timid.
Are you being too cautious or timid? … While experiencing the amazing power of God, he continues to show weakness.
If you look at 4:10, what do you say? “I have a stiff mouth and a dull tongue. ”
what do you mean? I have a stiff and dull mouth, so I am a poor person who cannot speak properly in front of people. is demeaning himself. Doesn't it look like you've seen it a lot?
“It’s just me, isn’t it? ”
So, what is Moses trying to say now?
4:13, “Lord, send someone whom you can send.” Rather, he is trying to convince God.
In other words, it means that God has chosen the wrong people.
At the outset, I said that among young Japanese these days, a person who cannot understand the atmosphere is called KY. Another person like that appears in the Bible. That person is Jonah.
This man was commanded by God to go to Nineveh, but he purposely fled to Tarshish. There is one interesting experience that I had while living my life of faith in Korea. It was discovered that there are Moses-type Saints and Jonah-type Saints among the saints. At the end of the year, when trying to entrust a new year's office, there are people who use these excuses and other excuses to get away, while there are some Jonah-type Saints who run away without even attending the election at all.
“Yona” means “Yo, me!” in Korean, linguistically. ” means “Kon、私!” in Japanese. Perhaps… Isn't that my story?
Sometimes we are mistaken.
“I am not fluent in words, and even after the Lord commanded the servant of the Lord… .”
Moses' excuses do not stand as excuses. Why?
This is because Moses is overlooking the fact that when God is with us, the power of God is also with us.
This Moses is focusing on himself rather than focusing on God.
This is the reason why ordinary people are very anxious and afraid of something ahead of time.
I can only calculate and do the abilities I have. to judge that there is no Then why the hell do we pray? Is there no role for God?
Like this Moses, we forget and misunderstand the fact that God works with us when God is with us. “I do. ” with the thought of salvaging only one’s abilities
There are people who are mistaken.
Of course, there are people who are just the opposite. A person who, after accomplishing something, thinks that he has done it all by himself, excluding the fact that God worked with him
There are no arrogant people who turn around and exaggerate.
In verse 12, God says that He will be with you and will be with you and teach you what to say.
Nevertheless, Moses said, “Lord, send someone who can send.” When I responded, “どうぞ, だレカ他の人を見つけてお遣わshi下Sai.”, God finally got angry.
Nevertheless, God does not punish Moses and intends to use Moses to the end.
Aaron, the brother of Moses, a Levite, was assigned to Moses as a spokesperson and co-worker for Moses, who was worried about what to say. Maybe if it were me, Moses would look like this... … .
Do you really not want to go? Come on, then don't go. There are so many people who will go without you. would have said
It is here that we discover how different our thinking is from God.
God calls his chosen one, and after he has called, he is sure to use him. Because the one who was called was a little lacking, because he was a little immature
“Oh, I made a mistake! you are right I saw the wrong person.” that he's not like that.
However, we humans, when it is judged that the person we have chosen is wrongly chosen, we can mercilessly abandon that person. It's as simple as dusting off clothes.
But rest assured, God is not like that. He promised that he would not leave us alone until the end, and that he would not pretend to be ignorant.
So, in verse 12, he finally says, “Go now.”
God's decision to be with Moses, who was lacking, is an expression of God's redemptive will to free the chosen Israel of God through Moses from slavery in Egypt.
This also foreshadows the plan of the exodus of all mankind through Jesus Christ. When God gives the sign to go, it is the time to go, and now is the time to go. If you called us, gave us the Word, and told us to go out into the world... … We must move on now. Where are you? To this world like Egypt, we have to go to the place where God sends each one to proclaim God's plan of salvation.
Nevertheless, Moses still says in Exod. 6:12, 6:30, “I am a stiff-mouthed and dull-tongued one.”
It's making such a weak sound. Who do you resemble? Maybe not me?
Although he was in front of the king of Egypt who was constantly frustrated, struggling, and afraid,
God did not give up until the end and fulfilled His plan of salvation.
As a result, I too was saved, and I was able to sit with those who worship God like this.
In short, Exodus is a book that records the fact that God's promise revealed in Genesis 15:13,14 was finally fulfilled, and the Israelites left Egypt and headed for the land of blessing.
Was the process smooth? It never was.
This world is different from the world of the Exodus era in culture and civilization, but the situation is the same.
However, what we can clearly see from today's text is the fact that God is undoubtedly the One who accomplishes His wonderful work of redemption.
This is God's grace. This is the assurance of God's faithful promise.
In Egypt, they were slaves and insignificant people, but the people of Israel who were led by God from Egypt and headed to Canaan were chosen as the firstborn (4:22) and priestly kingdom (19:6) to proclaim redemption to the whole world you will see
When I think of the fact that that spiritual Israel is “I,” my heart is pounding and I can't hide my excitement. How precious did God make me a child to exalt me? Have you ever had your heart pounding as you meditated on it?
Do you not remember the spiritual awakening that I was saved, that I had eternal life, and were filled with tears and runny nose at the tremendous megaton impact of that grace?
Nevertheless, there are still people around us who say this even among those who have lived a long life of faith.
“Lord, send someone you can send.ああ lord. どうぞ, だレカほカの人を 見つけてお 遣わシクだsai. “I don’t think I am… …
But, folks, if the Lord couldn't bear it any longer and decided to pour out the vessel of his wrath on me now... … No, I hate to even imagine it.
God's wrath against such disobedient people is so clearly recorded in Revelation 16:1 and below.
“七つの (鉢に盛Rareta God’s love, 注ぎnasai)”
They will be thoroughly judged by the seven bowls of wrath.
We are the chosen ones. We are the called.
I have no doubt that, just as God gave Moses' staff to those who were chosen and called to become God's staff, He will give us the power of whatever we have, just like Moses' staff.
The words of verse 12 were never addressed only to Moses. When the Lord says, “Go now,” we bless you in the name of the Lord that you will become such chosen ones and members of Akashi Church who can refresh the Lord's heart by answering immediately.
