Introduction
Isaiah 23 records the information that the procession of judgment against the nations progressed as far as Tire.
You saints who set aside the things of the Lord and offer them to God! Have you not been wealthy (saving savings, saving your bankbook) as Jehovah's? The judgment of Tire was because they neglected the benefits of the riches obtained through friendly trade with the kingdom of God. Christianity that is, businessmen who pursue profit from the church are doubly guilty of not paying tithes. Tire was such a country. Therefore, God judged that area.
First, the objects that God judges (Isaiah 23:1-14).
The god-fearing ships of the sea have been colluded with the inhabitants of the sea and the grain producers of the nations. Thus, they became not only telecommunications roles, but also interpreters of rumors. From such an advantageous position, the economic position of a country that was collapsing was informed to large countries or owners of powerful military power. Therefore, they received and accumulated large sums of goods or gold. So God's judgment was the same as the daughter of all those involved with the swings. Eventually they will weep and become a land of parasites.
Second, a group of people who exploit God's things in a proper way and neglect them (Isaiah 23:15).
The merchants of Tire will use the most legitimate means of wealth or parasitism to prosper their ships. In other words, even though God acknowledges their economic activities, he warned that their lives are a factor in spreading lewdness in the nations. These days, the lewd customs of port towns and sailors remain, and AIDS spreads rapidly through them. However, they did not sanctify, store, or store up their gains to Jehovah. Neither did they give alms or share well-dressed material because they traded with Jehovah's people. Therefore, they were judged for their sins, and Isaiah's prophecy was eventually fulfilled.
conclusion
Dear saint! If the offering made by sanctifying the things of the Lord becomes a disgrace to the church, it will also be subject to judgment. In other words, if the church does not use Jehovah's things for relief, service, education, and missions, the management will change. And the people who do business with the church - God's people - must also meditate on whether God's offerings are used according to the principle of circulation. Therefore, it is hoped that a spiritual economic act will be realized. -Amen-
Our Lord Jesus Christ! I want to get rid of vain bathing in water (Psalm 119:37) and lazy farming life (Proverbs 28:19).
