Title: Do I Really Have to Forgive?

Contents

Chapter 185

The central doctrine of Christianity is forgiveness. Forgiveness is another word for forgiveness. It's like forgiveness of sins. If we sincerely repent to Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins, we receive forgiveness of our sins. get forgiveness of sins Since the Lord has forgiven our sins, how much should we forgive others?

1. If a brother sins, how many times must he forgive?

1) Go and counsel only with you and that person - If you listen, you get a brother

2) If you don't listen (reconciliation - you made a mistake) - Help by witnessing 1 or 2 people

3) Still don't listen - fear in church

4) If you still don't listen - treat them like a stranger and a tax collector

□ Be considerate of giving time to repent and reflect without condemning. However, when he does not confess to the end, he should be treated as a tax collector who is stealing the taxes of strangers or of his fellow countrymen, who were the object of condemnation at the time.

2. The Prayer of Forgiveness

Verses 18-20 Manda and Punda - the one who forgave

Verses 18-20: The prayer of the person who forgave the sinner (criminal) -United prayer - God made it come true

Matthew 5:23-24 Therefore, if you are offering your gift on the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift at the altar and go first, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

□ When the person who has forgiven prays together

20 Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them.

3. How many times must I forgive my brother's sins?

Peter's question: Up to number 7, I think the best, I think it's a lot

Jesus' answer: 70 times * 7 = 490 times (indefinitely)

Verses 23-35

-10,000 talents (1 talent, 6,000 denarii, a household of 100,000 won per day, 6,000 * 100,000 won * 10,000 = 6 trillion won) Parable of original sin

He had compassion and forgave the debt - Forgives the original sin - God hints at the grace of atonement through Jesus

- Copper tube indebted to 100 denarii (converted 1 denarius per worker per day is about 100,000 won, 100,000 won * 100 = 10 million won - Interpreted as a relationship between people in debt

□ God forgives (relieves) a huge debt that cannot be repaid and cannot be measured through Jesus

However, even after receiving such tremendous grace from God, the act of failing to relieve the debt between people and the evil heart that does not forgive is to be imprisoned again by the prison officer (prisoner) so that he cannot come out forever. He said that he should not be released until the 6 trillion won debt is paid off.

4. Jesus' answer (32-34)

- The evil servant forgiven him for his begging (prayer) - The evil servant who does not forgive his brother's debt

Verse 35 says, “If you do not forgive your brother, focusing on each one, my heavenly Father will not forgive you in the same way.

Matthew 6:14-15 If you forgive others, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

If you do not forgive a man's trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

He was a loving person enough to suck the blood pus of lepers at Suncheon Aeyangwon.

Before the liberation from Japanese colonial rule, the Korean War passed the Korean War several times. At that time, during the Suncheon Rebellion, two young sons were shot and killed by a young North Korean partisan soldier.

□ Do I really need to forgive?

The evil people who have hurt us, made us feel bad, made us hard, and tormented us - do we really need to forgive? It makes me dream of being in the military and being beaten by being gathered, and still having a bad situation at that time, although it has been about 30 years since I was discharged. I have now forgiven those who tortured, beaten, humiliated and trampled me. So am I perfect? Have I ever broken other people's hearts? Am I a perfect person who has never broken, harassed, trampled on, or done anything that I can't pay for in my life? All humans are sinners. There is none righteous, not even one.

Do I really need to forgive? How much should I forgive? Once, twice, three times... 7 times, 70 times? 490 times?

Forgive indefinitely. Otherwise, I will also ask for your original sin. I will also ask about your self-crime. Isn't it scary?

Let's forgive from birth to now, love our enemies too - Let's forgive with the power of the Holy Spirit even though it doesn't work out

1) Forgiveness of Jesus (During His Crucifixion)

Luke 23:34 Then Jesus said to them, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Even at the last moment of death, he says:

2) Forgiveness of Stephen (while preaching the gospel and martyrdom)

Acts 7:60 - He knelt down on his knees and called out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." After saying this, he fell asleep.

Do I really need to forgive? I really need to forgive. Otherwise, you will not forgive the wounds that have unjustly hurt so many people. Also, the Lord says He will not forgive our sins. I pray that all of you will be forgiven by wiping away your faults, sins, wounds and pains with the love of the Lord (*)
