Title: Do it like Andrew

Bible Text: John 1:40-42
be like Andrew
A mosquito that died after sucking only human blood stood before God's judgment seat. He died from bleeding while drinking human blood. The mosquito does not know my fault and complains, “God, I feel unfair.” “What is so embarrassing?” “I couldn’t live up to my name and I was beaten to death. Humans are bad. The flies chased me with my hands, and I beat them to death with my palms.” “If you had acted like a fly, you wouldn’t have died so horribly!” “Like Paris?” “A fly sits and rubs his hands and prays, but you didn’t even pray, you bit your teeth and sucked your blood, so it is natural to die of pity.” Mosquitoes had to pray and rub their hands like flies. We must be like Andrew. Andrew was one of Jesus' twelve disciples. Look what Andrew did. That process is important.
He listened.
Andre listened. Having ears to hear is a valuable asset. A serious problem with people is that they don't listen to what they need to hear. To “hear the words of John” means to hear the words of John the Baptist. Tozer said, “Listen to the very man who hears the word of God.” John the Baptist is a prophet sent by God. He was a cry in the wilderness. In verse 35, Andrew stood and listened. John the Baptist said, “When they saw Jesus walking around, they said, Behold, the Lamb of God” (verse 36). John the Baptist pointed to Jesus and said that he was the Lamb of God.
A house without sheep's blood was plagued with the death of both the firstborn and the firstborn. But the plague passed on to the house of Israel where there was sheep's blood.
When Andre heard, it meant that he recognized the speaker personally and accepted what he was saying. I have heard of Jesus, the Lamb of God. Hearing the words of John the Baptist, he came to believe in Jesus. If you can't hear it, you can't believe it. Andrew became a hearer and a disciple of the Lord. Like Andrew, I want you to be a listener of Jesus.
” he followed.
Andrew followed Jesus. “One of the two who heard John’s words and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother” (verse 40). Andrew’s decision to follow Jesus was a great decision. Following Jesus is impossible without spiritual determination. It takes determination to follow Jesus. Because there is something to let go of and there is something to leave. He now had to leave John the Baptist, whom he had served until now, in order to follow his new teacher. Andrew was a disciple of John the Baptist.
Abram became Abraham because he followed the word of the Lord. The one who follows has the direction. Those who follow are determined. A great player is one who follows the coach's instructions. He will later become a great manager.
Before you can become a leader, you must be a follower. Great leaders are built by following well. What great people have learned is to pick out who to follow. And it's definitely following what you're going to follow. You must seriously learn to follow. “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Andrew followed Jesus. The spirit of cooperation makes great disciples. The meeting of a strong collaborator and a strong leader is a well-rounded relationship. Elisha was lucky to have met Elijah. I was able to find double the inspiration. Received as requested. Like Andrew, let us follow Jesus.
” he said.
Andrew said what he had seen and heard with his own eyes. What he saw and heard was Jesus. “He first looked for Simon his brother and said, We have found the Messiah” (verse 41). The early church was threatened to stop talking about Jesus. However, it did not shut the mouth of the church. When Peter and John caused the lame to spread, they threatened Peter and John.
After that, I told them not to speak to anyone by this name, and I called them to warn them.
“Never speak or teach in the name of Jesus,” said Peter and John firmly. “Judge whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, and we are compelled to speak of what we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:19-20).
The officials could not face the apostles who came out so boldly. The church became stronger when it was persecuted. The more I stopped talking, the more I spoke. If the church cannot speak, the church will perish. It takes courage to speak of Jesus. You must have bold faith.
Andrew's words were that he had "meeted the Messiah." He was speaking of Jesus to his brother Simon. He told his family that he had met the Messiah. There are four difficult things in the world. Picking stars in the sky, cleaning up spilled water, putting pins on the bald head, and doing family evangelism. But Andrew led his brother to the Lord.
Be like Andrew! It is to become an evangelist. “...How can you hear without a preacher? How can they preach unless they are sent? It is written, Beautiful. O feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:14-15)
The gospel should be preached, not buried. When Paul was preaching in Ephesus, when he was afraid of the blasphemous Jews, he said to him, “Do not be afraid, do not be silent, and speak; no one can harm you (Acts 18:9). Like Andrew, we have to talk about Jesus.
He brought
Andrew brought his brother Simon to Jesus. “They brought him to Jesus, and when he saw him, he said to them, “You are Simon the son of John, and you will be called Cephas” (verse 42). When you come to Jesus, you have a future. “I will call you Guevara” Guevara is the rock.
It is important to determine the target audience for evangelism. You have to decide who to evangelize. Even Jesus said, “I was not sent to any other place except the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 15:24).
Who asks, what kind of people is your church targeting? If you say “everyone” when asked, it sounds like you are right, but your answer is vague. It's difficult to put everyone into action. Specifically, one person must evangelize one person.
Jesus sent the twelve disciples and commanded them. “..Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter any city of the Samaritans, but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 10:5-6).
The apostle Paul made the Gentiles the object of evangelism, and Peter made the Jews the object (Galatians 2:7). I bring in unbelievers. I bring those who believe and are discouraged. I must target children, I am bringing middle school students, high school students, young people, and old people to the Lord. I have to choose the person I can reach most easily and focus all my resources on it.
When Jesus called his twelve disciples, he said to one of them, “…follow me. When you see Levi sitting at the customs office, follow me” (Mark 2:14).
You must also determine the area to evangelize. Jesus had a vision to evangelize the whole world. First, the people of Jerusalem. “Let us go to other nearby villages, and there we will preach, too, for this is why I have come” (Mark 1:38). After that, we plan to spread all over Judea to Samaria and finally to Europe (Acts 1:8).
Andrew's evangelism was first with his family and then with children. The boy who had five barley loaves and two fish was brought to Jesus. He made him give his lunch to the Lord (John 6:9). Jesus said to allow children to come to me and not forbid them. If you teach the path you should take when you are young, you will not depart from that path even when you are old. They should be taught to read and memorize the Bible from an early age. My granddaughter is 4 years old and she recites one verse each week. My 3rd grade grandson is reading the Old Testament.
Henry Kissinger, who served as US Secretary of State, played a leading role, saying, “The president is Nixon, but it is Henry Kissinger who moved the world.” He's said something like this. “The knowledge of the Bible that I learned from my father from a young age dominates my life. The Bible contains all the principles of politics.” The Bible has politics, business administration, and economics.
You know a tree by its fruit. A good tree bears good fruit. Listening is shown to be followed. A good follower is proven by speaking and bringing.
The written Bible is called “Logos” and the words that come to my ears are called “Rema”. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! Andrew listened to John the Baptist. I heard about Jesus and followed him. He preached Jesus. And he brought the man to Jesus. Peter would not have been without Andrew if he had not brought his brother Simon. Without Peter, there would be no rock upon which to build the Lord's Church. I can't predict what the future holds for the person I bring. Something amazing will happen.
Let's bring people like Andrew. Let's all be like Andre!
“4 12 Happy Day” Let’s make God smile!
