Title: Do not be afraid, dear ones

Old Testament R>
10. The LORD found him in the wasteland, in the howling wilderness, and he guarded and protected him, and kept him as the pupil of his eye.
11. As an eagle disturbs its nest, flutters over its young, spreads out its wings to catch them, and carries them on its wings.
12. The LORD alone led him, and there was no other god with him.
new testament
24. A disciple is not above his teacher, or a servant above his master.
25. It is sufficient for a disciple to be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If the owner of the house is called Beelzebul, how much more are the people of his household?
26. Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.
27. What I say to you in darkness, speak in light, and what you hear in whispers, preach on the house.
28. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, but fear him who can destroy both body and soul in hell.
29. Aren't two sparrows sold for a farthing? But not one of them will fall to the ground unless your Father permits it.
30. Even the hairs on your head are all numbered.
31. Do not be afraid, for you are of more value than many sparrows.

Do not be afraid, dear ones
Matthew 10:24-31
It is sad and shameful to say that Korea has the highest suicide rate among OECD countries. The economy has grown and it has become a prosperous country, but on the contrary, it is losing its value in people's minds. Even if we don't commit suicide, how important do we think of ourselves? Am I really important to others? Can I really be welcomed?
1. Self-importance and fear: It is common for people to pretend to be smart, capable, or powerful to show their importance. If other people don't come to me, get invited to meetings, and forget me, how painful is my insignificant existence? It's scary just thinking about it.
2. A sparrow given as a bonus: People say that life is meaningless because there is nothing left after a person dies. If this were true, human existence would be too light to bear. But Jesus says, “Do not be afraid, you are of more value than many sparrows.”
3. God counts the hairs of the head: People make a lot of useful things, but they don't make hair. A person who suffers from lack of hair will not count them every day. But God knows how many hairs we lost this morning.
When we serve the eternal God, we become valuable people made in God's image. Because God saves all who believe in Him and makes them His children and makes them valuable. No matter how people measure and determine our worth, we in the Lord need not fear. Because God values us and takes care of us.
