Title: Do not be deceived (Galatians 06:7)
Contents In this day and age, there are some people who don't deserve it by deceiving others, and there are also foolish and foolish people who live by being deceived by others. This is not the time to be deceived and deceived. Also, in today's age, unbelievers as well as those who believe in God despise God. You must not become a person who neglects God. Anyone who despises God is clearly a deceiver.
1. If you neglect God, the Holy Spirit will be withdrawn. In Psalm 51:11, King David said, “Do not cast me out of your presence, and do not take your Holy Spirit from me.” This psalm is a psalm that David prayed for fearing God's punishment after his sin. God withdraws the Holy Spirit from those who despise and rebel against Him. When the Holy Spirit is taken away, the person's mental state will be greatly changed. The joy that had been in her heart until now was gone. Like Cain, whose praise was cut off from his mouth and was banished from the sight of God, his complexion changed, and he became a wanderer by breaking from the ground. There is no one more pitiful in the world than a fallen believer whose Holy Spirit has been withdrawn.
2. Those who despise God are welcomed in the world If those who despise God suffer the withdrawal of the Holy Spirit and depart from God, they are welcomed in the world. When the Holy Spirit leaves, he thinks that a free life has come. They will defend Cain and Judas Iscariot. The strange thing is that the more they are cast out of God's love and welcomed by the world, the more they pursue immorality.
3. Those who despise God will perish. God is not despised. I have not yet seen a man who has neglected God and has not suffered wrath.
(1) Achan was destroyed by deceiving God. Joshua 7 tells the story of Achan. When the Israelites entered the city of Jericho, God gave a special command to them. All the objects of Jericho were sacrificed to idols and were abominations. Do not covet them, and burn them and offer them to God. But Achan was greedy for a beautiful cloak, two hundred shekels of silver, and fifty shekels of gold, so he stole it and hid it in the tent. At that time, God departed from the midst of Israel. Israeli invaded the city, but it was a back-and-forth. While the Israelites were praying to find out the reason, they learned of Achan's sin. Achan, along with his beloved family and all his possessions, was taken to the Valley of Achor, where he was stoned by the Israelites, and slaughtered, and then burned. After doing this, God stopped his fierce anger and defeated Ai. Achan foolishly deceived God and was destroyed. Those who try to deceive God are the most foolish. We must realize that the penalty for sin is not limited to just one person, but extends to the family and future generations.
(2) Ananias and Sapphira were destroyed by deceiving the Holy Spirit. In Acts 5, the story of the Ananias and his wife is told. The incident is recorded when they were destroyed by lying to God. He gave up all his possessions before God and received applause from many people and earned his fame along with Barnabas. Peter knew his heart clearly. So he rebuked him, “Why is Satan filling your heart with the Holy Spirit and hiding the price of the land?” Ananias died instantly, and Sapphira died shortly thereafter. They are people who have received grace and the Holy Spirit at one time. A person who takes the initiative in doing the right thing. However, he was blinded by wealth, so he deceived God. They were destroyed by the sin of deceiving the Holy Spirit. Giving should be done with pure joy, and service should be done with devoted love. There is no forgiveness for the sin of deceiving the Holy Spirit.
(3) Judas Iscariot also received such a terrible curse that it would have been better if he had not been born after deceiving the Lord. Judas Iscariot, who had deceived the Lord who knew everything clearly, became the most cursed person on earth. I hope that all the saints will be people who are true to the word of the Holy Spirit and be blessed.
