After that, as Jesus was going to the city of Nain, his disciples and a large crowd were accompanying him. As he approached the gate, they came out carrying a dead man, his mother's only son and his mother a widow. Many people from the city also came out with him. When he saw the widow, he had compassion on her and said, “Do not weep.” He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood. Jesus said to him, “Young man, I say to you, get up.” And the dead one sat up and began to speak. And men were afraid and glorified God, saying, A great prophet has risen among us, and that God has visited his people.
Introduction
God is full of all comfort. It is God, the object of our faith, who takes care of our circumstances and situation, examines what we should and shouldn't have, and happily washes away our tears and pain with all our might. As long as we receive the grace of God's consideration for once, the problem will no longer be a problem. Tribulation or anxiety can no longer weigh on our hearts. The Lord came to the widow with this power today. And with the tears in his eyes, he changed the despairing sadness into an impossible miraculous joy. When we receive the love of the Lord who has compassion and care for us and listen to His voice, we can rise.
1 Earth: We must receive the grace of God's consideration.
If God could only think of you once, what greater blessing could there be than that? Therefore, life should be based on the mercy of God. Nothing can be accomplished by our own strength and ability. Only through the work of God's Spirit and the power of His love and compassion can we be assured of a prosperous life every day (Romans 9:16, Zechariah 4:6). Today's text also says that the Lord saw the widow and had compassion on her (verse 13). How deep is the loneliness in the word widow? The Lord saw this. She was a widow who lived without a husband and depended on her son, but she also lost her son, so the loneliness of this widow is indescribable. Jesus read the widow's extreme loneliness. So he had mercy on him.
When God has compassion, God cares about us. When God thought of Rachel, even Rachel, like a young girl, could have given birth to Joseph (Genesis 30:22). When God thought of Hannah, he was able to receive a great man of faith named Samuel (1 Samuel 1:19). We can only live when we receive God's compassionate grace. We can overcome our circumstances and conditions.
Earth 2: You must listen to the voice that commands you not to cry.
conclusion
Dear brothers and sisters, the basis of life of faith is prayer. Without prayer, you cannot be recognized as a saint. God has mercy on those who pray (Ezekiel 36:36-37). Hannah was filled with tears of prayer. Rachel's life was also a life of prayer. Only tears in prayer and prayer that squeezes out the essence can move the heart of God. Please keep in mind that when we imitate Jesus' prayer of Gethsemane and follow it, we can be recognized as the Lord's disciples. We can get up when we hear God's voice telling us not to cry.
Therefore, you must stay awake every day. We must make every effort to get together every day. The source of miracles is prayer and the Word. God works miracles for us when we gather together every day to study the Word and live a life that joyfully dedicates our lives to the fruit of obedience according to the will of the Word. Pyeonggang Jeil Church is a 'church that believes in the Word and experiences living miracles'. We ask that you have only this amazing history of happenings in our lives every day.
