Title: Do You Love God?
Exodus 9 3-4
do you love God
The most important and essential content of faith lies in forming a deep and intimate love communion with God. Through intimate and loving fellowship with God, we receive God's love, and the power flows within us, overflowing with vitality and vitality in all areas of our lives, so that our lives are blessed.
Here's what I'm talking about today.
1. The purpose of God's creation is to create a family to share love with.
In Genesis 2:8, God created man and made him live in the Garden of Eden. In verse 15, God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden to live. Two major things can be seen in the event that God created Adam and Eve.
(1) It was made in the image of God. To say that it was made in the image of God means that it was made so that it could establish a relationship of deep love with God.
(2) He created the tree of knowledge. The creation of the Fruit of Good and Evil means that he gave people free will, the free will to do what they can or not to do, without turning people into robots.
2. The reason God called His people is to establish God's family.
God did ten plagues on the Egyptians. And he made the people of Israel cross the Red Sea; he led them with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night; he sent manna down at dawn to eat; he made water spring from the rock when he was thirsty; he made quails when he was thirsty for meat. Through the works of many amazing powers of God, we see the Israelites walking through the wilderness. What we need to remember in this case is who is doing this? There is only one, God, who does wonderful things. If God does amazing things, why does he perform these great miracles and signs? There is one reason. In the ten plagues of the Israelites in the land of Egypt, God's amazing miracles in the wilderness, God's leading the people to bring them closer to God. May you draw closer to God.
3. Having intimate and deep love communion with God must take precedence over anything else.
It is more important to have a close relationship of love with God than to keep God's commands, ordinances, and laws. God says, “Love the Lord.” There is one thing to do before keeping the commandments, ordinances, and ordinances that follow the way of the Lord, and that is “to love God.” It is to share intimate and deep love communion with God.
Hosea 6:6 says, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice, rather than burnt offerings, but the knowledge of God.” What God wants is to know and love God. It is to know and love God. What is knowing God? It is knowing that God loves me. It is to know the love of God that forgives my transgressions and sins, my abominations, my filth, my shame, and I deserve death. I received that love, and I fell in love with that love, so I also love God infinitely. If we do it wrong, we can make sacrifices more precious as a religious ceremony. God doesn't want events. What God wants is a heart that loves God. It is to receive God's love and return that love to God.
In Mark 3:14, Jesus raised 12 disciples and said, “He gave me the power to be with me and to send me to preach and to cast out demons.” There are two words here.
(1) It is to dwell with the Lord.
(2) God gives us the spiritual energy and power to cast out demons so that we can do evangelism.
Saints do two things. First, let us be with the Son of God, Jesus Christ. To be with you means to draw close to Jesus, the love of God. It speaks of a deep love encounter. That's first. After being drenched in that love, He was called to rise up and work in love.
4. We must be ministers in love.
God leads the Israelites out in Exodus 14. At that time, God leads according to the plan and method. It is entirely under the sovereignty of God. What does Moses do at that time? It is only to stand up as a minister in the love of God and to participate in God's work. All decisions are made by God. Moses is just a minister who believes in God, rises in faith and participates in God's work to be accomplished.
God's purpose is ordained by God Himself. The method is also ordained by God. When Moses caused the Exodus event, God said to Moses, “I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” The meaning of these words is, “To your father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-grandfather and ancestors, I am the God who intervened in their lives at that time. God who interfered in the lives of your ancestors is also interfering in your life today.” God is a God who works in the reality of our lives, not just watching from afar. Before God, God calls Moses. Moses had no decision-making power. Everything is decided by God. Moses followed so that God's decision was made. Moses became a minister who participated by following God's decision to be made.
When Elijah prayed, the dark sky opened and rain began to fall. God decided to make it rain. What will Elijah do then? Elijah falls on his face and prays for God's power to be done. And again, it won't happen, so I get down on my knees again and pray. I knew God's will. It is the power of God to make rain fall on the blue and dry sky. It's not because Elijah has power. However, for that to happen, Elijah must stand up before God and participate as a praying minister. Do what God wants you to do.
