Title: Do your best (1 Timothy 04:15)

Content History has evolved and has become more and more advanced. If you want to be successful, you need self-improvement and progress. In the verse of the text, it is said, “In all these things, do your best to make your progress visible to all.” In order to be successful, you have to progress.

The master of statistics, Pearson, is a statistical figure of the achievements of every businessman in the world over the past 100 years. He statistically analyzed and compiled successful people in all fields. Once, when a disciple came and asked what 'successful people have in common', he answered as follows. First, they answered that their success or failure depended on how they used the four hours from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. 6:00 PM is the time after work and after leaving work. Now that the work is done, those who idle around to rest and play are unsuccessful. However, it is the time after work, but for those who worked hard to build knowledge in their specialized field, 4 hours a day, 1,460 hours in 1 year, and 14,600 hours in 10 years. A person who works hard can become a success in his/her field even if he steadily builds up his skills for 10 years. Even if the difference in one day is nothing, the result of one year of hard work or ten years of hard work makes a huge difference. Dear saints, If you want to be successful, be a hard worker.

1. Do it now

One of the black Nobel Peace Prize winners is Ralph Bunch. He has overcome many obstacles. When he was 12, his parents died and he lived with his grandmother and grandfather. He was challenged a lot by his grandmother's book 'Believe in Yourself'. The important point of the book was 'Don't say you want to try it, say that you must try it'. He was greatly challenged by his grandmother's life lessons, and he lived with a view of what he should do for the rest of his life, and was honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize as a black man by saying, 'I will do it today, not someday.'

Migratory birds were living in the wide field under the autumn sky. Migratory birds are birds that leave when the season comes and come back when the season comes back. The opposite of a migratory bird is a resident bird. A resident bird is a bird that does not leave an area and lives there, regardless of the weather. So there was a saying that resident birds are severe. Thousands of migratory birds lived in the autumn fields by picking up food because there were abundant grains. Then suddenly the weather got colder and they started leaving one by one. However, one migratory bird didn't want to leave behind a lot of food, so I put it off, saying, 'I will definitely go tomorrow after taking one more day off. It was a cold winter and everyone went to a warm southern country, but only one migratory bird said, 'Take one more day off and tomorrow... ” After procrastinating, he eventually became enlarged and could not fly and died of freezing. Those who procrastinate until tomorrow cannot do it for the rest of their lives. I'm sweating and I have to challenge myself now.

2. Do your best

In today's text, it is said, "In all these things, do your best to make your progress visible to all." The command to do your best has two meanings.

First, it means to work with concentration. A person who works wholeheartedly is a person who works with concentration. There was a new artist. When the work he painted that took 2-3 days didn't sell even after 2-3 years, he went to his senior artist and asked. The elder painter, who was an older and experienced senior, told me to change it if so. In other words, if you paint a painting that takes 2-3 years, it will be sold within 2-3 days. That's right. When you focus on your work, you get good results.

There was a man named John Wana Maker, the king of department stores. He said, “People are born to work, so find something that makes you happy and do your best at it.”

3. Strive for it

Whatever you do, you must focus all your heart and all your strength on the goal and put all your effort into it. This is what a person with all his heart looks like. Steel King Carnegie said that a successful person "is to be number one in the field no matter what he does." And as a result of his best efforts to become a leader in the steel field, he became the strongest in that field.

The Reformer Martin Luther said, “Do your best in what you have to do.” The secret to success is to be whole-hearted. If I had to pick one of the most successful baseball players in Korea, it would be Park Chan-ho. He was able to play in the American Major Leagues because he pitched every single pitch.

Once upon a time, a wise king called all the scholars in his country and instructed them to study the “secret of success.” Scholars each wrote about how to be successful in their field, and collected them in one place, resulting in 12 books. When the king read it, he was satisfied because the content was so good. However, it was unreasonable for the people to read all 12 books because they were farming and working. The king ordered them to be summarized in one book. Scholars gathered and summarized them into one volume. But it was also a lot. The king ordered that the contents of the book be made into one sentence for the busy people. After a long time, scholars came up with one sentence: “Nothing is free in this world.” That's right. Nothing in this world is free. It's about working hard and paying the price for success. Success is the fruit of blood, sweat and tears.
