Title: Does Satan Call God Lord?

Contents

Satan is also a creature created by God. In the Word, it is written, “The serpent was the most cunning of the wild beasts that the Lord God had made...” (Genesis 3:1), and “they slept the dragon, the old serpent, the devil, and Satan…” (Revelation 20: 2) As evidenced above, the old serpent, or Satan, is a creature created by God and an evil servant from God.

In the Word, “All things were made through him, and nothing that was made was made without him” (John 1:3). He also testified, “The heavens and the earth exist according to your ordinances to this day, because all things are your servants” (Psalm 119). :91), Satan, the most crafty of all things, is a created creature and an evil servant of God.

Therefore, it is right for Satan to call God Lord. It is written, "Satan answered the Lord, saying, "Why should Job fear God without cause? Is it not that he, his house, and all that he possesses, is surrounded by a hedge? Now spread out your hand and strike against all that you have, and I will certainly curse you face to face” (Job 1:9-11).

Regarding this, the Bible says, “When an evil spirit from God came upon Saul, David took the harp and played with his hand, and Saul was refreshed and healed, and the evil spirit departed from him” (1 Samuel 16:23), and also, “God He sent an evil spirit among the people of Shechem, and the people of Shechem betrayed Abimelech...” (Judges 9:23).

No matter how wicked and cunning Satan is, he can never do anything voluntarily without God's permission. It is the same as the written evidence, "The LORD said to Satan, "I give him into your hand, but do not harm his life" (Job 2:6).

Therefore, God made the ancient serpent, the most cunning among the wild beasts, as an evil servant to work among the sons of disobedience to bring judgment to all who disobey the truth and delight in iniquity. As it is written, “The Lord hath made all things for a covering, the wicked for the evil day” (Proverbs 16:4).

For this reason, the Bible is more specific about Satan, saying, “The coming of the evil one will come according to the work of Satan, with all powers and signs and false miracles and all deceitfulness of unrighteousness on those who are perishing, because they do not receive the love of the truth, and are saved Therefore, God caused temptation to work in them to believe a lie, so that all who do not believe the truth and love unrighteousness may be judged” (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12).

In the record about Pharaoh king of Egypt, he hardened Pharaoh's heart with Satan. It is written, "The LORD said to Moses, "When you return to Egypt, do all the wonders that I have given into your hands before Pharaoh, but I will harden his heart, and he will not let the people go..." (Exodus 4:21). It is like the word of evidence you said.

For this reason, the Bible testifies, “Therefore, God has mercy on whom he wills, and hardens whom he wills” (Romans 9:18).

God works with the Holy Spirit on those whom he will have mercy on, and with an evil spirit on those whom he will harden. That is why he testified, “Therefore, God caused temptation to work in them, that they might believe a lie.”

So, calling the Holy Spirit the Lord and the evil spirit the Lord are quite different. Regarding those who will be saved, the Bible says, “Therefore, I make it known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3). For those who will not be saved, “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and perform many mighty works in your name? I will tell them plainly, I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness” (Matthew 7:22-23).

Therefore, it is clear that “whoever” is recorded in the Bible “whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13) applies to all those who call “by faith in Christ Jesus”. That is, it is the name of the Lord who is called by the Holy Spirit, not the name of the Lord who is called by evil spirits.

For this reason, the name of the Lord that those who are in the flesh call upon with the lusts of the flesh, who have been tempted by Satan, and the name of the Lord that those who are not in the flesh call upon the desires of the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, by calling on the name of the Lord that Satan calls, that is, the name of the Lord in the flesh, you cannot achieve salvation. It is the same as the words of faith, which is written, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14). Thank you Lord.
