Title: Don't Be Afraid of Life
Isaiah (109) Do not be afraid of life (Isaiah 44:6-20)
"Don't be afraid of life"
God is the first, last, and only true God, who knows what will happen in the future and what is to come (verses 6-7). Just believe in the one and only God who is in control of history, stand firm on that rock and do not be afraid (verse 8). Why is there fear in life? Because they try to base their lives on something other than God. However, if you only look to God, God will not necessarily betray your faith.
Romans 8:28 says this. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose.” This is a word we hear often, but if we take a deep look at it, it is truly a blessing. Don't be discouraged if you have difficulties and things don't go well. If you go out believing that God has allowed the situation, God will work all things together for good in the end.
Eventually he went to Germany to study, after which the road was well opened. But if he was in Korea, would the road be blocked? no. If you love God and live according to God's will, a good path will be opened wherever you go.
<Do not fall into idolatry>
If you do not love God and do everything according to your own will, it will seem to work out for a while, but eventually you will fail. On the other hand, if you love God and live according to God's will, you will surely become the ultimate victor even if there are any problems or difficulties in the process. Therefore, do not be afraid under any circumstances and look only to God and live. Then even hardships will work together and be used wonderfully as a material for good.
If you turn away from God and make idols, you will be put to shame (verse 9). Why not idolatry? Because it is man who makes gods and useless idols (verse 10). How foolish it would be to make a man-made object an object of service. To vividly illustrate the fallacy of idolatry, Isaiah briefly describes the process of idolatry (vv. 12-14). People make fire with wood to warm themselves up and eat bread, but how foolish it is to make and worship and bow down to idols out of wood (verse 15).
Man was created in the image of God the Creator. What is like God? He is like God in that he is a spiritual being, and he is also a personal and moral being. Thus, man can communicate with God and is in a position to manage other creatures according to God's will (Genesis 1:26-28). Therefore, you must not worship anything other than God.
People should act like people. The most representative act that breaks such human behavior is the worship of images made of wood and stone. It is a sin for a man to worship anything other than God as such, to despise God and deny his humanity and responsibility. Also, if we fall into idolatry, we lose the image of God, which entails moral degradation. In fact, idols and superstitions are the number one channel through which people's fleshly minds are encouraged to become morally corrupt. So don't fall for idolatry. Also, be extremely wary of idolizing people.
