Title: Don't Discuss Suffering
Contents In today's text, John 9, you can see a discussion on a table about a person who suffered.
John 9:1 “As Jesus was going on the way, he saw a man blind from birth.”
They are arguing about people who have been blind since birth. Aren't you such a pitiful person? He was a man of great suffering. However, it is said that a pun by talking about this person's hardships has happened. There are many people around you who have suffered. If you listen to the stories around you, there are a lot of people who don't suffer at all and are arguing about such people. For such people, isn't this what the disciples in John 9 look like? I thought.
If you are next to a person who has suffered, you will find that person is rather silent. There are benefits to suffering. You can meet God there and hear the deep voice of God. A person who is in trouble is rather in silence, and there are many cases where people onlookers are talking about it. That is why it is not only a hindrance to those who experience God's power in a divine way, but there are also cases where they themselves do not benefit themselves.
John 9:2 “The disciples asked him, ‘Rabbi, whose sin is it that this man was born blind, or his own, or his parents?
The blind man did not present his own problem, but the disciples who were watching asked questions. He questioned Jesus using the sufferings of others as an excuse. So are we. It is best to remain silent when there are suffering people around us. It is that it can be a problem to keep talking about this and that without being a party to it. Why? Yes, because there are benefits to suffering.
Psalm 73:2 “I almost stumbled, and my steps almost slipped.”
Haven't you guys ever been like that? There are many times when our faith is turned over when we see the wicked prosper.
Psalm 73:3 "For I have seen the prosperity of the wicked, and I have envied the scornful."
Why?
Psalm 73:4 “In death they are painless, and their strength is healthy.”
Looking at the evil one, when that guy lives and dies like that, he'll die in a bubble and painfully. You will suffer and die, you will not. I am going to be held in the arms of a pretty nurse. get hot How do you get there till the end? At the end, I thought I would die if I bleed because I didn't have the strength, but that strength is healthy. It's an ongoing conversation.
Psalm 73:5-7 <There is no suffering like others, nor calamities like others. / Therefore pride is their necklace, violence is their garment, / Their eyes swell with their fattening, and their income exceeds the desires of their hearts. >
If you look at the modern Bible, it is said that your eyes are puffy. How old are you, your eyes are puffy. The last place to gain weight is the eyelids. How much do you want the wicked to have? When I said that I wished there was about 100 million, I said that there would be 1 billion. Can all these things be explained through causality? that it cannot be explained. Therefore, there is no need to talk about other people's suffering for nothing. If you're in trouble, that's the judge. I can't say that.
John 9:3 "Jesus answered, Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God might be revealed in him."
To put it more simply, to show the works of God, it is to show the glory of God. In fact, the reason why hardship or anini is so important is because the standards are wrong. We live by the standards of the world. That is why it is said that a person is blessed if he is healthy, rich, and has fame. Who did it? call it a blessing? That's the world standard. So, even though we believe in Jesus, the standard of blessing is the world. But what does the Bible say about blessings? There are no eight blessings that Jesus spoke of.
Psalm 1:1 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked”
Blessed are those who know the schemes of the wicked but do not follow them. That's a blessing. For example, do you not know what pleasure is? I know everything. Everyone knows where they go and have fun with lust. I know everything, but I don't go. That's when we feel wow! be blessed That's a blessing.
"I do not stand in the way of sinners"
Do you not know the way of a sinner? Don't you know if it's good to stand in line? But it does not stand in the way of sinners.
<do not sit in the seat of the scornful>
Ask yourself when asked to sit in a high seat. Is this the right place for me to sit? What will people think when I sit there? When not, I don't sit. And I think alone. I am so blessed There are some really stupid people in life. There are people who have to think about their subject and decide where to sit, but can't figure it out. They sit down knowing that they just need to sit straight through, and they are kicked out and disgraced. I feel really unlucky. But there are people who sit in really pretty seats. There are people who are sitting in the corners, sitting in difficult seats, and want to keep them by their side. It is really blessed when that happens. Bless you.
There are people who are blessed, and there are people who don't even have a hallway. You have to watch it and learn it. I don't know myself, but I know the rest. So I'm not talking about criticizing others, but there are some things that are really good to see. Then you take notes. I have to live like that too. And in some ways that's a bit of a problem. That's a little bit of writing. I shouldn't live like that. That is the way of the blessed. Blessings are like that. The standard is to stand on the standard of God's Word.
If blessing is changed to God's standard, smoothness and suffering are meaningless. That's what Jesus said. “To glorify God” Is it not possible to glorify God during suffering? Can only be flat to give glory? Even in the midst of suffering, Job did not sin with his lips and glorified God. Isn't that what glory is? Paul and Silas prayed and sang even when they were in prison in Philippi, so the prison doors were opened. Isn't it glorious? In terms of glory, suffering may or may not be an opportunity. What does it have to do with The saints think so. So, it does not focus on hardship, no, or why. are you honored? Isn't it? It's a lot more focused.
Jesus is the one who changes the focus of the discussion. Don't forget. The focus of the disciples' discussion is "Who's sin?" is it your fault? Is it the parents' fault? The self is enjoying other people's things no matter what. Where does Jesus move the discussion away from such useless discussions? with glory. You can tell what a person's level is by looking at the person's conversational level. It is for the glory of God, it is for the work of God, and we return to glory, and then Jesus makes the important point, that there is a time of day and a time of night. It's not always possible.
John 9:4 “For the hour is still day, and we must do the work of him who sent me; and the night is coming, when no one can work.”
that there is a time. The daytime is when you can do it when you have the opportunity. When we can pray, when we can do missionary work, when we can worship. Can you always pray? Can I always worship? Can you always evangelize? If you are sick, you cannot preach. When health is given. That's when it's daytime. Night comes at all times. Studying is also part of the day. If you try to study at night, doesn't it get harder and harder? You have to have good standards. There are times. Never miss the given time, whose fault is it? Instead of arguing over such useless arguments, work hard for the glory of God in the midst of the day. Praying when we can pray, going on a mission when we can go on a mission, and devoting ourselves when we have the opportunity God has given us, that is the wisest image.
Jesus did what he could. There was a blind man, so he spit and made mud and put it on his eyes. Jesus did it because he could spit to open his eyes. Since we can't do that, aren't we referring to good doctors or providing supplements? or comfort you. Do what you can.
I have a problem to pray for. If not, you must pray. But we must not just pray, we must act. Don't just pray until it's ripe and rotten. It means that there is a problem to pray and another problem to go and act on. It means that there are many areas where you have to stop praying and go out and dedicate yourself to work. The disciples only talked on the table. How real is Jesus? You have done what you can. I hope that we too will become faithful servants of the faith who know how to put all values into action for the glory of God.
