Contents Bible text: Exodus 17:8-16 Title: Let's not lower our hands!
Today, while preaching about Israel's victory over the Amalekites,

Moses raised his hands and prayed (verses 11-12).

① It means pointing toward God.
Moses raised his hands up only to pray to God.
Meaning.
② The meaning of surrendering to God
When you are surrounded by war, you raise your hand and come out, which means surrender.
To surrender means "I will now submit to your will".
Whatever we do, we must obey the will of God.
③ The meaning of praying in faith
His hand did not go down until the sun went down, what do you mean? prayed in faith
expression. The prayer of faith has great power at work” (James 5:16).

① We need volunteers to cooperate. (verse 10)
Moses took Aaron and Hur to the top of the mountain while Joshua went out to fight.
I went up and prayed.
If a good man like Moses needed a collaborator, our faith today is
If you want to live well, you need more co-workers.
Therefore, if two or three people pray together, the Lord will answer that prayer.
He said (Matthew 18:19) that two are better than one.
(cf. Ecclesiasts 4:9-12)
Therefore, husband and wife are good faith comrades at home, and members of the district are friends of faith in church.
You have to be a good friend to win.
② Efforts of volunteers are required. (Verses 11-12)
When Moses' hands were tired from praying, they came down, and Aaron and Hur took a stone and lifted the chair.
He made them sit down and held them one arm from each side to prevent them from coming down.
It must have been difficult for Moses, of course, but it must have been even more difficult for Aaron and Hur.
When we do not lay down our hands of service without name and without light in the church, the body of the Lord
It is the way to save yourself, the church, and this country, and God remembers and blesses you.
3. Let's not let down the hand of battle (Ex 17:9, 13-14)
① You have to choose the right soldier well. (cf. Deuteronomy 25:17-18)
“Because of your weariness you have struck down those who are weak behind you.” So Moses knew ahead of time.
He instructed Joshua to choose his soldiers wisely.
