Title: Don't Send To Hell
don't go to hell
(Luke 16:19-31)
“Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame” (verse 24).
On one occasion, when Dr. Torrey led a local meeting, it was a huge success with an undisputed audience. The next evening, it was foretold that he would preach about hell, but the next evening, it was found that only about half of the church members attended. Proof that people are unpopular, uninterested, and uninterested in hell.
One day, Satan gathered and discussed how to make hell full of sinners. Instead of preaching about punishment in hell, pastors preached a lot about forgiveness and love, praise and encouragement, mercy and mercy, blessing and peace. We have come to the conclusion that it is possible.
Originally, there is no word for hell in the Old Testament, and the Hebrew word for hell is Sheol, which is the underworld of death (Genesis 37: 35, 42: 38, 1 Samuel 2: 6), where the group of Goradang fell (Numbers 16: 30 - 33 ), the world under the sea (Job 26:5), the womb of Hades (Jon 2:31), the gates of Hades (Job 17:16), and the place where the wicked dwell in torment after death (Psalm 31:17).
The Greek word for "Gehena" is a valley south of Jerusalem, where children were burned and sacrificed to Molech (Kings 23:10; 2 Chronicles 28:3, 33:6 Jeremiah 7:31-33). , 19: 2 - 6, 32: 35) And in a spiritual sense, this is the place where the corpses of those who rebelled against God who did not attend the worship of God on every new moon and Sabbath of the nation of Israel were piled up, where no insects died It refers to the unquenchable lake of fire where all flesh and blood will suffer.
If you look at the text, ① Hell definitely exists. Jesus spoke of hell. Matthew 5:29-30, “If your right eye causes you to stumble, pull it out and throw it away. Leave it alone, for it is profitable for you that one of your bodies is gone and your whole body is not thrown into hell.”
In the gospel hymn, it is said, "If you turn away from your right eye, take it out and take only one eye and go to that heaven. Your heart is willing, but your body is weak. Stay awake, pray, and do not fall into temptation."
Paul (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9), Peter (2 Peter 2:4), and the apostle John (Revelation 20:15) also mentioned the reality of hell.
② If you go to hell, you will be sensitively remorseful. There are no words of consolation at all. In life in this world, there are times when you may make a mistake or fail while doing something.
Then family and friends will say, "It could be. It's okay because we all understand." He understands, “This is a turning point,” and receives great strength and courage from these words of comfort and encouragement. But in Hell, you can't hear a single word of encouragement and encouragement, and your conscience will explode with remorse.
③There is no exit. San Francisco is home to the famous Golden Gate Bridge, beneath which is the prison where prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment are held. But once you enter the island, you can't get out. It is said that a prisoner escaped the prison even though the torrents were severe and the man-eating sharks were living in the sea, and the prisoners could not get out of the island. There is no prison in the world that can be said to be perfect. But the punishment of hell is unavoidable. Because there is no way out of hell.
④ There is no end to suffering. There is no end in time. It is a hell where even a small amount of heat does not burn even insects that are easy to die. It is a place where the incurable and immortal people who want to die but cannot die, and who can not be cured even if they want to be cured, stay for a long time. And the status of the rich and poor will change. The rich become like Lazarus, and Lazarus becomes the rich man.
⑤ All requests will be rejected. Requests to cool the tip of the tongue with a drop of water or to evangelize through Lazarus so that the parents and brothers in the world do not go to hell after death are also rejected. He said that those who do not listen to Moses and the prophets of the world wake up from death twelve times and go to preach, but do not listen.
I would like to share with you a piece of testimony from Elder Hyo-Jin Park, an incumbent prison guard. I witnessed the execution of eight death row inmates at the execution site of the Seoul Detention Center. After the first four Christian believers came out one by one, each made a final statement in front of the warden with the assurance of salvation, making a will to give eyes and kidneys to those in need I did.
However, the appearance of two Catholics and one Buddhist coming to the gallows was very different from those of Christians. They refused to hold the final religious ceremony of the priest or the monk in charge, cursed and cursed at someone and struggled to be executed.
However, the last eighth Christian believer was dragged out by a certain prison guard, a young man named Yongpil. Yongpil, who had a violent personality, was a troublemaker who had only recently accepted Jesus and was a poor man. Yongpil was completely silent because of his fear of death. He couldn't control his body properly, drooling around his mouth and talking nonsense over and over again. When he saw the hanging rope, he urinated with trembling all over his body.
At this time, the warden ordered the execution by hanging. However, in the opinion of the prison guard Hyo-jin Park, he couldn't just let Yong-pil be executed. So, after asking for permission from the warden for a moment, I grabbed Yongpil with a few Shinwoo guards and prayed earnestly. "Lord, we can't let Yongpil go like this. Please restore his consciousness, make a clear confession of faith, and then go to heaven!"
Hallelujah… Amen," he confessed his faith clearly. Then he continued to dance while singing hymn 335, "Savior for mercy, hear me and call me when you say, "Come, a sinner." ) The guards also applauded, sang, and danced with him. And then, leaving the last words to meet him in heaven, he disappeared in the dew of death. Here, the final death scene between the gods and the disbelievers is clearly distinguished in this way. showed
We must not leave so many unbelieving souls around us today who should not be sent to hell. If you write the name of the son who needs to be saved by believing in Jesus on a piece of paper inserted in your newsletter, we will gather them together and make it a common prayer subject. One soul is more precious than the world. Let us lead those souls who will go to hell if left alone and to the Lord.
