don't worry about anything
Matthew 6:25-30
Our Lord knows that material things will become idols in modern times, and He said that we cannot serve both material things and God. However, we believe that we can serve both God and material things. Such thoughts are the thoughts of Satan.
In today's text, our Lord tells us not to be anxious about anything.
A man named Dale Carnegie wrote a book called Goodbye to Care. In this book, he said, “A businessman who does not know how to fight anxiety, or anxiety, dies prematurely.” He estimates that 50% of the world's bedridden patients will have neurological or psychiatric disorders caused by anxiety and worry. This concern also eats away at our faith. So don't worry about it. Do not worry about what you will eat, what you will wear, or what you will drink. Don't worry about food, clothing and shelter issues. Because worry is a negative interpretation of reality without seeing it as it is. It's something that hasn't happened yet, but it's an attitude of concern in advance. Anxiety is an illusion created by our minds. Reality is going well, but we are killing ourselves because of this illusion of worry.
1. Don't worry, God is in charge of our lives.
For those of us who care, our Lord tells us to look at the birds of the air. You neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them, and you are of more value than these. That's right. We become children of God through faith in Jesus. God is in charge of the lives of His children.
Don't worry about clothes. Consider how the lilies of the field grow; they do not labor or weave. But even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like this one flower.
If God cloths the grass of the field that is today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow, how much more would it be you?
2. Worrying is meaningless.
Our Lord said, "Who of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to his stature?" That's right. Our worries are futile. So the Lord said he was concerned because he had no faith. you of little faith
Folks, 40% of our worries are about events that will never happen. You don't have to worry about these things. 30% are concerned about events that have already happened. Even if you are concerned, this is irreversible. 22% are concerned about trivial events. These are things not worth worrying about. 4% are about events that we cannot change. These are things I can't do just because I'm concerned. After all, only the remaining 4% are real events we need to worry about, and 96% of our worries are useless
3. Turn your anxiety into prayer.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are fragile human beings who have no choice but to be concerned. Nevertheless, our Lord, do not worry. Because worrying doesn't solve the problem. Now, it means to entrust your worries to God through prayer. If you do that, God will solve it. That's right. Now that we are children of God, I believe that my Father will take charge of my life, and if there are any concerns, entrust them to God through prayer and receive God's help. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxieties on the Lord, for he cares for you. That's right. When we put our worries on God and pray, God takes care of it and solves it.
dear classmates
Our Father is a rich God. He is the Father who meets our needs. Now, I earnestly hope that you will become those who do not worry as you live your life by entrusting everything to God through prayer.
