Title: Don't Worry About Tomorrow (Matt. 06:34)
Content People live from early morning to late at night with a heavy burden of anxiety that they do not even feel. We pursue convenience and leisure through advanced scientific civilization, but in fact, our lives are time-consuming and busy, causing serious physical and mental suffering. People use various worldly methods to overcome these concerns and stress, but they do not find true peace of mind. How does the Bible teach a modern man who is wandering with bitter sorrow?
First, he told me not to worry about tomorrow. The Bible tells us not to worry about everyday things like what to eat, what to drink, and what to wear. Furthermore, I command you not to worry about tomorrow, that is, even more serious and grandiose worries. Why does the Bible so firmly forbid anxiety and worry?
Because life is not worth worrying about. We are like a mist that appears for a moment and then disappears (James 4:13-14). Worrying cannot increase or decrease my height, control time to restart the past and control the future, and worry, anxiety, and anxieties do nothing. Therefore, we need to get rid of the empty worries that confuse our minds and worry about what will happen in the future.
This is because there is a God who is the creator and ruler of history. There is a God who feeds the birds of the air, cloths the mere grass of the field, knows me as the true owner of past, present, and eternity, but also knows and supplies what I need. We must return to our faith and trust in this God.
Second, I told you to worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow is not an object of concern, but an object of hope. We must discover that tomorrow's work is tomorrow's work and that what matters is today. Because it is today's sincerity that makes tomorrow's certainty. Therefore, you must be zealous to focus on today's work and be faithful.
Third, it is said that one day of suffering is sufficient for that day. Everyone has their own pain and suffering (Genesis 3:16-19). The reality is that you sweat and work hard all day, but you are not satisfied. In the agony of life being chased by busyness and fatigue, we feel the pain of limiting our breathing, but believers must discover the shining wisdom in the suffering.
The most important thing in life is to obey God and live joyfully with the conviction that no matter what happens, you will eventually win. Those who are in trouble should wait for God's faithful will and His helping hand while longing for the abundant grace and blessings that come from God with patience and hope.
Anxiety is Satan's bait that makes the body and mind sick. When we leave everything in the hands of the Lord, He will give His peace to our hearts and will enrich our needs as He has promised. Therefore, believers should live a victorious life with praise, thanks, and joy in everything.
"Let the saints stand firm on the rock of faith." Today's Prayer
Praise, glory and honor to Almighty God. Thank you for forgiving our transgressions and foolishness and for giving us grace and love. God, who gives comfort, peace, and courage to the lives of worries, worries, and worries, help us to stand firm on the foundation of faith.
Help me to fully fulfill the mission of seeking his kingdom and righteousness and realizing it on this earth, so that I can live a fruitful life with the power of God who ultimately gives me victory. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
